IntroductionHi there! I am a long term world of warcraft player who quited the game a few months ago due to lack
of interest and time. But with the recent announcements for the upcomming expansion Cataclysm, the excitement for the game started to grow again. Unfortunately I still don't have the time to continue along the path where I stopped a few months ago. Therefore I created this topic - read on if you are looking for a new 10 man (strict) raiding guild.
Lucid Dreams (LD) - 10 man strict raiding guildWith the "all new" hybrid classes and less class based buffs it has become "more easier" to form a solid 10 man group. Therefore LD will be a 10 man strict raiding guild - that means that gear from 25 man raids is not alloud.
To compensate for the lack of time LD will raid once a week, most likely on friday or saturday, between 19:45 and 23:00, with the possibility to change the raid day for the next week. If everybody in the group has enough time to raid another day, in a holiday for example, this ofcourse is an option.
What about progression? There is where blizzard did a fantastic job with creating the option to extend your raid ID. See the FAQ for more information. (
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=18983421902&sid=1) So progression won't be a problem, altough it may go slow.
When will Lucid Dreams start with raiding?Because LD only exists on paper for now it will be in the hands of players who want to join. But the goal is to start fresh when Cataclysm releases. Else we will start as soon as LD has a good enough group to start raiding. Starting while cataclysm isn't released yet is a preference, since members can get to know each other and we will be able to check if everyone fits into the group.
On which realm will Lucid Dreams be?For now the guild will have it's home on Ravencrest EU. Don't let the realm choise be in your way of making a application though, since the choice is subject to change. Depending on how many applications LD receives.
What Lucid Dreams is looking for?Altough the guild will mainly only raid once a week, that does not mean we take that day lightly. Our goal is to clear content, including hardmodes, might it be on a slow pace. To achieve this goal we are looking for players with a skillset above the average, who have raided on a regular basis in the past but cannot anymore due to lack of time. Or players who have the time and experience but are just looking for a new environment to play in. More in general: players who like to raid with a steady group and like a challenge but just don't have the time to join a hardcore raiding guild. To create a mature and friendly setting players must be over 17 years old and reasonable social, with a decent skill of english.
Gear requirements?Since the plan is to start with raiding when cataclysm hits, no real gear requirement is set.
Having a decent gear set is a big preference however, since this will determine what we can do for the remaining days of wrath of the lich king.
What classes are you looking for?LD is currently looking for every class that is available in World of Warcraft.
This topic will be updated when spots are filled.
More details/rules:- Don't come unprepared to the raid: bring consumables and read up on the encounters that are planned for the day.
