I am PvP leveling my lock from 10-65ish without any BoA or fancy stuff.
Like they said above, questing works well for gearing up, but i'd start picking up the oldd PvP gears if you can (like the 60 PvP gear) because they make you last alot longer per piece (or at least for me they do)
I'd grind Rep for the 70 Rep PvP gear while you quest to kill two birds with one stone ^^

You could run a few random dungeons. Some quick cash plus a chance to see some gear drop.

Mine while you are in your BG queues, even copper is worth decent cash on most servers.
Buy the blue PvP weapons at every x8 up to 58, and some armor for worst gear spots. The PvP feet with increased run speed are great for PvP as well as grinding mobs faster. You won't have a need for all those stored up marks at 60+ anyways, and the cost in honor is not prohibitive.
Past 60 the best you can do is get 2 pieces of the lvl 60, then 70 armor set for the resilience set bonus. Just use wowhead to pick an easy quest to get a decent green weapon upgrade and armor upgrades every few levels as needed. There are also some 2+ man quests that yield nice blue weapons and armor in Outlands and Northrend.

I think die-hard that you should keep a maximum of marks for 80. With 3.3.3, each of them will worth
A LOT
of honor at 80.
If you are capped, spend some but try to save a maximum for real pvp gear.

Do quests during the 25+ min queue times. BGs take forever to queue for until you hit 80.

Everyone's gonna tell you that it's a bad idea to PVE in PVP gear... but they really only mean this for
heroics
and raids.
What? Heroics? I did heroics on my mage with deadly gladiator items, and my dps wasn't so bad.

If you do the random dungeon, you get that nifty bag, which can net you a blue item for any slot, (I think the blue item is one/day.), as well as any drops from bosses that you want. That'll help somewhat, as well as in 3.3.3, they're getting rid of marks, and making PvP gear that costs marks straight Honor, which is a pretty nice thing. Roughly 25 honor = 1 mark equivalence, except the mounts, which are 50k honor.
So the level 60 epic 2-handers will be about
25k honor.
Not too shabby, IMO.

The reward bag you get for doing random LFG dungeons is rewarded once per dungeon, as many times as you do it per day. However, the bonus gold and experience are doubled for the first dungeon of every day, dungeons that day beyond #1 give 1/2 the
bonus
gold and experience.
When you reach northrend dungeons however, you get 2 triumphs once a day, and then I believe it goes back to the blue bag for later dungeons that day.
My experience with sub-70 dungeons in the LFG tool are very limited, but the first time I did them on my 41 pally, I got a blue item that was tanking-related (the spot in which I qued for), and was a blue-quality item. That's what I was referring to, not the bag itself. On the second dungeon, I got a green quality, which I I chalked up to being the first random de la jour.

Run some dungeons, the weapons there are much better than anything else you will get.

(The exception to this may be for tanks, since defense is such a vital stat, and resilience and stamina just don't cut it...)
I have to ask you ithaquah... What does resilience do? :) It reduced chance to take a critical hit (not only from players!) also it reduces overall dmg taken by ALOT :) + What would any PvP gear be without stam? ;)

While you are correct that resilience also grants reduced chance to be critted in PvE, it does not reduce the damage one takes in PvE too.
