If MB is worth dropping, it should be because of the 4 set bonus from t10. I don't think any realistic amount of haste can make MF better than MB unless I am missing something.

There was a thread on it a while ago, with a spreadsheet. You need something like 4.2k SP and a ton of haste, along with 4pc T10 to drop MB and not lose DPS.
EDIT: Here it is:
http://elitistjerks.com/f77/t84746-shadowpriest_theorycraft_3_3_edition_i_get_little_help_my_friends/p7/#168
I did the Spreadsheet, entering my Priest's values into it: (Unbuffed)
3k SP
977 haste (30%)
739 crit (25%)
1356 Int
481 Spir
And kept increasing SP, by 3400 SP, it was acceptable to drop MB, only if you don't clip MF or DoTs too much.
So I'm guessing around 35% unbuffed haste, and 3500-3600 unbuffed SP, it'd be a DPS increase to drop MB. That's probably like...in full 277's. :x
Oh, and Inb4 all the regulars come in here and start bashing each other over mechanics.

Actually, I purposely didn't respond because I didn't know the answer. Heh

As a healer, I really don't want to learn that one of our sources of Replenishment is suddenly gone. Hopefully nobody will actually be dropping MB from their rotation :(

don't worry, you're relatively safe at this point. Besides, there's tons of replenishing classes.

Like Sine said, the level of haste you need on top of the T10 4 piece bonus is quite high unless you gem all haste... which would just be dumb.
It's NOT unreachable, but it's unfeasible. Also, replenishment is <3.
Now on the counter side to it, the numbers provided to say all that are based on you hitting MB on every single CD on the dot. That's NOT going to happen.
If you were to drop MB from your rotation now, you'd probably see a SLIGHT increase to your DPS, worst case would be breaking even with a "simpler" rotation.
But just remember the word replenishment, hit your mind blast button, and make the healers love you.

Currently, I only drop MB from my rotation during Heroism, because Mind Flay goes down to a 1.2 second channel, and the spreadsheet with my stats in it said to drop MB while Heroism is up.
And yes, Sinepse is right. To drop Mind Blast completely with no Heroism or Speed Potion or other procs, you need around 3500 SP and 36% haste...
unbuffed
. Along with HEROIC Phylactery/DFO.
But just remember the word replenishment, hit your mind blast button, and make the healers love you.
Assuming there are no Frost Mages, Retribution Paladins, Destruction Warlocks, or Survival Hunters. =P

All those classes are vastly inferior to shadow priests.
To anyone who doubts the validity of that claim, just tell them we're so amazing even our mounts go shadowform.

I have tried on a heroic training dummy with MB in the rotations, and another with just MF through out. I did each test 3x for a more accurate number, and it turns out that my dps was improved 500dps when I included MB in the rotation.
So, I won't be dropping MB anytime soon. With my 4pc T10.5 and a @#$% load of haste, I couldn't keep up with casting MB. I think that's because I could cast 2x more MF's than usual when I didn't have the 4pc T10.5.
These are my findings, and they worked well for me. But it may not for others, you just have to do a little trial and error to see what fits you best.

The level of haste and spell power required for Mind Flay to overtake Mind Blast in terms of DPET is virtually unreachable. Full 277s with a 284 weapon
might
reach it, and it's only in 25-mans where you'd be safe to do so without losing 100% Replenishment up-time.
How come then every time I do a new SimCraft of my priest it always gives MF slightly higher dps than MB? A current SimCraft that I just did put MF at 6586 dps whereas MB only had 6527. I'm also aware that DPET is not equal to dps, however, I haven't read any math on the difference in this case for the reason I posted below.
I found MB is best saved for when I have 1.1-1.2 or less seconds until I need to refresh DP or VT. The spells in any scenario will have basically the same dps, so I'd rather save my CD for when it'll help me refresh a real dps increase (DoT) that much sooner.
Granted, lately I've been required to ignore this since my guild has needed me to proc Replenishment...it's so much easier when there are 2 ret pallies in the group...or even other Replenishment classes that can help out and keep me from having to cast MB on every CD.
