Aurora® ALX Desktop base model
and
Area-51® Desktop base model
the price is relatively the same ( yes im aware im buying namebrand, but im also cutting out the hassle of having one built, or buying a typical dell that isnt set for gaming per se, suggestions would be appriciated)
im debating between two of these computers for wow mostly. ( I have some movies on an external drive and music but probably wont load them on.
Im coming home soon from deployment and will be hooking a new computer up to a 32" tv/monitor and a 19" side monitor. Ideally I want to be able to play wow on the bigscreen and have the other monitor availible for music, web surfing while gaming. ( would be dang nice looking up strats and tactics while doing a raid)
thanks for your input

the problem is my current Case is a very old and outdated dell. ( its the smaller case.) it runs wow solo fine. 5 mans I get about 10 fps. I enter shat and FPS goes to :shat"
my thought was " if I buy one of these then in five years maybe ill have to worry about upgrading, and then the computer itsself will have room.
its not so much about price but more about ease of issue. I really dont know anyone who could build a computer nor do Icare to learn myself. Im pretty much interested in internet and wow and wont have much time between deployments to sweat some issue with a " built" comp.
Ie I really dont want to nut the hell out cause something fried and start putting rounds through the case when I could buy a computer off the shelf that could be upgraded when the time comes effortlessly.
what im looking for is suggestions on a great off the shelf computer for gaming in the 2500 price range to 2000.00..

see thats the problem. I dont really know whats good requirments now-a-days for a solid computer that will give 5 years service and still be up enough on power to play decently. so customizing kinda doesnt help.
IE it would be like buying a lamborgini and putting a civic engine in it thinking it would be more than enough..

Thats awesome thanks much!
the rated link on hardware seems really helpful from what I was seeing its possible to buy a machine with greater componants than an alienware computer and save a few hundred on top of it.
the concern I have is " product quality" with "built" computers is it generally a concern with lemons? I saw some warranty info on most of the web pages that build them how difficult is it to get that warranty work done with built up computers compaired to name brands.
( I also had a friend back in my home town call around, there is a reputable computer store in my home town that builds computers, this will most likely be where I go.. just in case it has issues I can take it to a desk instead of wrapping it up and sending it in the mail.)
