Ill just keep this short. I recently started playing wow again on my new computer at a new house "new ip" with a new email. It was strange because as soon as i signed up for my account and started playing i noticed a massive number of spam comming from "blizzard" or so they say.. obviously they are all spam/scam mails since the websites would never be the correct one.
Now ive been wondering is something up with blizzard that hackers can find out when were playing wow? I just feel that as soon as i started playing wow a week later a flood of "we need your account info to vertify xxx" and all these other wacky scams are comming in. Has anyone else noticed the same problem? Is something up with blizzard so hackers can find out our information? Or is it just bad luck i happen to get wow scams the week after i start playing.

Just delete them without opening them and youre good to go, my inbox had about 7 scam emails from over the course of 3 days, opening them would be wasting my time so they just get pitched. Unless it says at the login screen that your account is suspended theres no reason for blizz to contact you, so there should be no reason to click dirty links.

I do send them to blizzard of course but its just strange that after a year of nothing related to wow in my inbox/spam all of sudden as soon as i start playing they come.
Although i do rea them just to see what new things these scammers come up with, never clicking the link of course
