-Fünden stood before the throne. “So… the mighty Fünden has graces us with his presence…” said a deep voice mockingly, the voice sounding from the figure in Scourgelord’s armor sitting on the throne. Fünden snarled. “
Watch your tone with me, Morec! I have as much power and authority as you!
” he growled ominously, hand fingering his runeblade.
-Morec laughed softly. “Well, that may be so, or it may not. However, I have orders for you, directly from the Great Lord of the Dark himself.” Fünden’s eyes glowed brighter for a moment. “
Spit it out then,
” he growled. Morec chuckled. “You and your friend Khorin have been chosen to lead the attack against Valgarde. It seems the Vrykul have been, shall we say, unsuccessful in their task?”
-Fünden nodded slowly. “
Very well. I expect no interference from you in this mission.
” Morec nodded. “I have… other things to attend to.” Fünden’s eyes glittered as he turned and walked from the room.
-Karn awoke from a horrible nightmare… he couldn’t quite remember it all, although there was something about the death of Khaz in the Eastern Plaguelands. He shuddered and stood up, throwing on a cloak over his traditional blue pants and shirt. The air outside in Valgarde was chill, and he could see his breath form. “Feels like a warm day in Dun Morogh,” he said softly to himself.
-He heard a cough behind him, and turned around. A human soldier stood there. “The work on buildings nearest the wall is nearly complete. There is only one more building to be repared,” he said, saluting. Karn snapped a salute back, and as the soldier walked away, he sighed. After Guard Captain Zorek had been killed in a raid and Vice Admiral Keller assassinated, Karn had basically taken over the Keep.
-Pätryn strode along the beach, runeblade strapped to his back. Above him stretched three hundred feet of rock, huge steep cliffs rising straight from the ocean. Mist stretched its arm from the sea to cover the ground Pätryn walked on. He smiled and sat on a rock, enjoying the feel of the sea wind on his face.
-Karn walked along the battlements, the colors of the Alliance proudly displayed, flags flapping in the breeze. Around him men worked, pounding away at nails, sawing wood and building fortifications. Soldiers stood and nodded to him as he passed, and he did likewise.
-Eventually he reached the end of the wall, where a large incomplete guard tower stood. Karn walked over to the soldier in charge of the tower’s construction. “How is it going?” he asked softly. The soldier turned and snapped a salute. “Not good sir. While we have managed to start construction it is still to dangerous to venture outside the keep for wood, and the Horde constantly attack any ships moving into the Fjord. Not to mention Dragonflayer Harpoonists continue to shoot any ships that come in range.”
-Karn slammed his fist on the table. “So it seems the Dragonflayers seem to be more troublesome lately… Don’t worry, I’ll get some people on it.” The soldier looked at him thankfully, but was too disciplined to show it. “Yes, sir!” was all he said. Karn grunted and moved away, thinking about who would be insane enough to battle Dragonflayer Vrykul in their own home base…
-Pätryn was startled out of his reverie by a soldier shouting from the cliffs above. “Pätryn, you are to report to Commander Karn Iceshatter as soon as possible!” Pätryn waved his hand. “I will be up soon!” he called back. The soldier nodded and left.
-Pätryn sat for a moment. “It must be important to send a soldier all the way out here,” he said softly to himself. He stood and out of habit stretched his muscles. He got up on the elevator taken from the Vrykul many days ago and rode it back to the top, before taking a gryphon back to Valgarde.
-Ten minutes after entering the Keep he was riding out of it again, Runeblade in hand, riding hard for the Dragonflayer village. He was hidden by the thick foliage surrounding the village. The Vrykul had tried chopping it down, but too many attacks by the people of Valgarde stopped that.
-Fünden and his soldiers marched ever closer. Large ranks of the scourge held inside a Necropolis rode over the Vrykul controlled land…
((Ok as you can tell here I have changed a few things.
A. If you don’t like the changes tell me, and tell me why please.
B. Morec I made a small homage to your character. I haven’t read your series so if something is wrong tell me.))

Morec has a throne? Nice... Didn't know that, but I'll have to remember it.
All in all, a very good portrayal of the Scourgelord, I have to say. But in response to the rest of your story; looks very good. Although I'm not sure why the vrykul would go against their "death god" (then again I might have missed something) I trust you'll explain it soon.
And you havn't read The Frozen North (or Light and Death, either way)?
*The fury of the power Morec wishes he had rains down upon Funden.*

They haven't gone against him so much as failed their task of destroying Valgarde. All that's left of the Village after the bombardment is a few harpoon guns. The Scourge are there to back em up.
And I haven't read them yet, but I plan on it. I actually had page on up last night and my comp froze =P I might just print them out and read them that way.

Ah, I see.
And your comp froze, eh? Clearly they couldn't handle the awsomeness that is the work of the original poster on the Lore and Roleplaying Forum.
But again; looking forward to Part 2.
