Thrall is a Shaman. Sylvanas is a Dark Ranger. Vol'jin is a Shadow Hunter. Prince Elf is a Ranger. Varian is a Warrior. Magni is a Warrior. Velen is a Priest. Tyrande is a Priest. Mekkatorque is a Warrior.
High
Tinker
Gelbin Mekkatorque's a tinker.
And Lor'themar Theron is a regent, not a prince.

Some of our faction leaders are more unique in there class status then the generic gaming mechanic.
Thrall is a shaman, but he is also a gladiator
Varian is a warrior/gladiator
Sylvanas is a Ranger, not a hunter, because he doesn't require a pet or pet based skills. But she also controls dark nectormatic powers and can summon undead, so a dark ranger
Velen is a priest, not a mage. Actully, he's a prophet, so can forsee the future
Magni is a warrior, but perhaps a paladin too, unique being he duel wields to mighty hammers.
Mekkatorque is a warrior in game mechanics, but his real class is tinker, as said, meaning he uses his intelligence with machines and devices in combat.
Tyrande is classes as a high priestess of elune, but she is also a skilled ranger, so her one is mixed.
Cairne is a shaman, and a warrior. He's been know to have died and ressed himself several times in the past, so it attests to his shamanistic powers.
Vol'jin is a shadow hunter, which is a unique one, as it combines elements of natural, shadow and loa, like a shaman but with a very different approach to such powers.
Lor'themar is a ranger, like sylvanas was, but he also seems to make use of the paladin type powers through the method blood elves got them.
They are all unique in there balance, given they arn't just bogged down as one class only. (well, cept varian, since the gladiator and warrior class are one and the same).

He's not a paladin, he just forged Ashbringer.
Technically he is a Dwarf Thane, aka Mountain King.

Sorry, mountain king then, as he too is unique.

Thrall's easy... He's a shammy (and was so awesome at it that he could dual-wield long before shammies were allowed to dual-wield! ;))
Wrynn's a warrior, obviously. Well, maybe not obviously, but he dual-wields, and he is NOT a rogue, or shaman, or deth knigget, so there doesn't remain any other choices for him!
Sylvanas is a hunter. Or, ranger I believe the class was called back in WC3, but hunter is the closest equivalent today - and she carries a wicked-looking bow, so hunter it has to be!
Shadow Hunter after death. It's like the Death Knight version of a Hunter.
Valen is a mage...obviously. Well, he could perhaps be a warlock, but somehow I don't think so for reasons that should be obvious to anyone even the slightest bit steeped in WoW lore... ;)
Well, anyone the slightest bit steeped in WoW lore would know that Velen is a priest... Zul'jin is a...what, exactly? Shaman also? Hmm... I've never actually fought him, I've been on a few raids into Orgrimmar, but we only ever pulled Thrall then and not Zul'jin so I don't know how he fights. I suppose he could be some kind of caster also though.
He is a Shadow Hunter, or a Voodoo Hunter to give it some translation. It's a mix of Troll Shamanism and Hunter, which worships spirits called the Loa.
Tyrande is a priest. This we all know, she's lived in the temple of the moon for the last five years non-stop - which is where priests have their trainers - and she is the head of the priestly order of the Night Elves after all. ...Except here she also carries a BOW...wth?
The culture of the Night Elves is more complex then that. The Night Elf women are Sentinels, which are warrior and rogue type classes (Though can carry bows and throwing stars). However, some are also Priests of Elune, which is the holy order. They are not mutually exclusive, thus she is carrying a bow.
Big Chieftain Cowmoomoo Beefcake whatsisface is...ahem...a shaman, again...? Druid? Warrior? I dunno! :D It also looks as if he dual-wields those bizarro treetrunk-like weapons that some tauren NPCs use (and at least one ogre), which is kinda imba when you think about it...!Cairne? Cairne is a Chieftan, which are powerful warriors. Also, given that they are leaders of the tribes. A close comparison to the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt. While their main duty is to rule and govern, they are considered holy in a sense as well. Even so, they still have a high priest/shaman to forefront most religious rituals.
Mekkatorque is a...an...ahem...engineer? Lol. I'd say he's too small to be a warrior, but then I'd get swarms of angry anklebiters attacking me and yelling in their helium-voices that gnomes can be warriors
too
! Anyway I can't tell at all what class he might belong to other than something that can wear a shield that looks like a giant cogwheel and attacks by swinging a spanner!
Yep, he's a Tinkerer. So, essentially, an engineer.
Prince Gee'hyy Metrosexual whatsisface might be a paladin. But who knows. Is he? His armor looks kinda paladiny in the image, but he carries a biiiig honkin' polearm as a weapon, and paladins traditionally favor maces (at least in AD&D lore), or swords (Ashbringer!)...
Lor'themar, I assume you speak of, is an Elven Ranger. Essentially a Hunter.
Magni's armor also looks rather paladiny-like, he wears a circlet on his head for example and not a helmet, but he also dual-wields and pallies can't do that (except that bit about Thrall dual-wielding when he shouldn't be able to, so clearly faction bosses don't have to adher to regular class restrictions!) Anyway, he looks to be yet another alliance faction boss warrior. Sheesh...Well, despite the appearance from his runed hammers that he might be a Mountain King, but in reality he's just a badass warrior with a badass hammer.
So what do you guys think? Any guesses of mine you disagree with, and why?
Well, you don't know jack about lore. The fact you had to guess with faction leaders is kind of sad. There hardly the most subtle and hard to find people. Just hit them up on Wowwiki...

Actually no, he's just a warrior. Thane and High Thane (King) are mutually exclusive. Mountain King's do things such as draw on powers of the Titans, such as storm from Aman'thl, as well as the stone in which they were made from Khaz'goroth.
He just hits people in the face.

He
is
a mountain king though.
He uses Avatar, a signature Mountain King spell, along with Storm Bolt.

Ah yes but, well Magni is IN the mountain, Muradin is on top of it, lol.
I think is brother sort of cheated him out of a title there.

glad someone else said it.
Actually, faceshield never corrected the OP on Vol'jin's name, he repeated it as Zul'jin. Zul'jin, though a leader of the Amani, has nothing to do with the Darkspear.

Probably just a slip up though.
