Certain legends surrounding Deathwing claim that as the Earth-Warder, Deathwing shaped the land so the races would not go to war over land and resources. When he went mad, Deathwing lowered the mountains and allowed the races to intermingle. He ruined fertile land and destroyed other terrain so that the races would be forced to fight for food. Deathwing's efforts gave birth to an occupation that has remained with all races since then: war.

Cool. What's your point? Is this a discussion or what?

He broke the world unintentionally; he never intended for Deepholme to come up behind him so trying to say he did this to 'help' the races fight against a thread is not a part of it.

I guess I just find it interesting that he's responsible for inciting the mortal races to fight each other and that he will become a piñata in the new expansion.
You don't see the significance of that?

I highly, highly doubt he will become a pinata in the new expansion. The LK is taking out people left and right...
And they would have found ways to fight anyways, even if just among themselves.

Over the years I've become much more intrigued with the story than the actual game. I'm curious as to how you think this might play out subsequent to Cataclysm.

Deathwing? He was nowhere near dead before Cataclysm. All that happened was that Khadgar hit him with a particularly nasty spell and so he went and reformed as Daval Prestor, only to be discovered. He almost died several times, but he still lived.

Actully it could give some explanation to just how long he was being driven mad by the old god, before war of the ancients happened. Could it have been that night elf and troll races were held back from each other by such things, but when he went made he made it so they would intermingle and fight?

Stop listening to Snipzelf.
Bye the way, Arthas is nothing but a fool Paladin right now. And a dead one at that. Bolvar is the new Lich King, and he's the lavaman. The lavaman and the lavadragon do not go at it, a'ight? Plus, Deathwing would whup his sunburned ass across the continent.
