I guess its scary when I was using the rank program that shows people they are not using the highest rank spell. I assume it does a tell. I get a tell telling me I don't know s#$% about lock and should keep my opinions to myself. Again it tells him this and he tries to vote kick me. The others ask why and he tells them about this BS I am telling him how to play a lock. I explain to the group what is going on and trying to turn it off and get kicked for using something stupid like this.
I use it to keep track of my skills/spells with dual specs it helps

yes I read that but its so easy to forget to turn it off and on. I guess that is what I will have to do.
It is nice with guildies but in pugs its a nightmare, some thank you and some go NUTS on a whisper like this.
I think I am just being too lazy...sorry for the post

Shouldn't be a nightmare, people are just afraid of admitting they are wrong. Every time someone using Rank Watch pointed out I was using an outdated rank on a long-forgotten, recently dusted off alt, I personally thanked him for letting me know.

if there is a pure text command to turn rankwatch on or off then you may be able to just throw that into a macro.
What you may want is
/rankwatch none
I believe it saves this setting on the character so you won't need a macro. Messages will still pop up in your chat window (so it is still useful to you for updating alts and offspec bars).

Guild buddy flipped out sat night. He is a great tank and was trying healing we were just running some guildies thru naxx. It hit him on everything he was casting.
WTF MAN I am using the highest, I just trained this stuff.
AND AGAIN the dual spec talent bug still exist ROFL
he was so mad at first that some program was telling him he was using 6 and 7 was the highest.
But when he realized what was going on and was very thankful for it.
to me this is one great program and I think only pride makes people resent it.
But in pugs it needs to be disabled. Some people just go balistic.

Warlock was a toolbag. I love RankWatch. The other day I told my friend "man, it's great being overpowered" a joke about my rejuvenation ticks being 1k at level 70 (prolly weak, but it's better than my 80 rogue's 600? hp bandage ticks :P). Next thing I seen? Some dude using RankWatch told me my rejuv was actually outdated by one rank!
I'm assuming you're leveling though - is there any reason to use RankWatch on a max level character?

Blizzard says there is a problem (YEP and this was proof) in dual spec some of the spells just don't auto upgrade, you put one on your toolbar and later get the next rank but the old rank is still on your toolbar.
I don't think this happens without dual spec.
I was using it for my chrs.
But it is nice enough to tell an epic XXX class person they are messing up...then the mind your own business and F off I am leet bs starts.
I just wanted a simple way to turn it off except in guild stuff so no one flames me.

I'm not sure if you made them or not, but you can make a couple macros:
/rankwatch enable
/rankwatch disable
I'm sure someone in the macro forum has a macro-fu way of making it all just one hotkey though.
