ok so i download original WOW and then downloaded BC. when i get to the login screen, it is all distorted and flashing like crazy but i can still manage to type in my login info and begin the upate. when i restart WOW to begin the patch DL process and when the first patch is DLed, it will bring me right back to the BC Installer screen as if i never DLed the game but the icon is still on my desktop and i can click on it to go right to the login screen. My account is on hold and i do not want to start paying for it until i can make sure this problem wont continue. Could that be a problem as well if i dont have my account activated?
You should be able to open World of Warcraft regardless of whether your account is active.
I am assuming you downloaded your World of Warcraft installers off Blizzard's site.
Try this: uninstall and jump straight to Wrath (if you can play that). It should install everything at once.
If problems like this persist, I recommend you go to the
Tech Support
...I mean
Tech
Support
forums and bring this problem up.

I am using the discs. I uninstalled the game and reDLing it now. i just started downloading BC. So if i completely DLed both of them, why would it send me right back to the Installer screen? It will DL the first patch and send me directly to the Installer screen..
Wait. Are you downloading patches between expansion set installations?
