Because you got screwed, does that give you the right to wipe the entire raid?

wiping a raid just for the fun of it is stupid.

actually it went like this.
Hi, I'm the tank I get instant queues. We are taking the middle route for the achievement. If you mess up, I will pull and leave.
10 seconds into the fight, achievement messed up.
Pull 3 packs, shadowmeld, instant wipe.
Did that 4 times until group died.
Had to go through 8 groups until we got it.So instead of making a group on your realm with other people that wanted to do
your
achievement, you act like a some spoiled kid and basically screw over some 30 people that have been waiting in the dungeon queue.
Atleast on my battlegroup, a dps can easily wait up to half an hour before getting a group. Then getting into your pug, would mean i would have to wait about, another 15min due to the debuff, and around half an hour, again, before getting a new group...
And you don't understand why your name is on your realm forum?

Where are all these sophisticated, intelligent comments coming from in recent times? I'm seeing more and more of them in various topics... IS THIS THE END OF WOWHEAD AS WE KNOW IT?
No; it's just Slaytanic not being banned yet.
I disagree with Slaytanic 99% of the time, it appears. And, I may not have as much experience with him as others here have.
But I haven't yet seen anything that would represent a bannable offense. Simply being arrogant and selfish are not reasons to eliminate someone from discussion. From your own guild? Maybe. But why from a forum like this?
His comments at least provide food for thought and discussion. McDonald's variety, not Gastronomy. But again, it's not the kind of thing I would ban someone for, if I were a mod.

After 7-8 groups I can find about 3 competent people.
And after asking in guild chat once and perusing my friends list I can find about four competent people. I'm not really mortified at the idea that three morons who can't do heroics achievements in full T9 are going to need an extra 15 minutes to get their frost badges one day, I'm just struggling to see why you're proud of using the most inefficient method you possibly can to get your achievements.

The type of discussion he is promoting is backlash against himself. Posting messages that
you know
will generate a direct response to you as a person, rather than to the subject as a whole, is the nature of trolling.
*shrug*
I can't speak for him, because I don't know him (or his history) well enough.
I
know
that some things I post will not always win a popularity contest.
In fact, I may be more likely to post in certain threads, when I want to point out this or that fact or argument, which may disagree with their conclusions. (Which, can turn up the heat in some more heated debates)
I don't do so for the sake of feeding the fire. I do so for the sake of discussing issues, and possibly learning something. Occasionally, playing Devil's Advocate. And, for challenging assertions which may seem more narrow-minded or insulting/intolerant of others. By testing my thoughts against other individuals, I do learn, and I have been known to change my mind in more than one situation.
And yet, some individuals (especially in some fora) would consider THAT to be trollish behavior.
The true Trolls tend to expose themselves, and to run out of steam once everyone stops turning themselves inside out to insult them. And, the true Trolls also often have less constructive objectives in mind, like seeing if they can get others banned for insulting themselves. The most malign trolls of all are not so obvious to all posters. They may even be revered by others, in some fora, and believe that they don't need to adhere to the same standards of civility and respect as everyone else.

No, if you do stuff like that, you get a rep for it, and you'll never get into a pug group again on your server.
i do stuff that like, sure my main has a rep for it but theres plenty of pugs out their, but let me say i dont do it unless its really necessary, like a leather healing piece dropping and a paladin whos been slacking off afk every 5 mins leaving me to do the rest then olling on it when its much better for me a druid.
if people are going to blacklist me for that, well i just lol and get over with it, i can always name/server change if it ever gets that bad.
Unless they have you on their ignore/friend list, then they see the name change and make sure everyone knows it you.

I forgot to edit that post.
My name was not on the realm forum, never has been for anything negative. So that was interesting.
Also this achievement is apparently "easy" so people would just link spam it in trade. Funny how it was my last glory achievement for 6 characters. People are stupid, so they fail it. Then I give them a repair bill or 5 for wasting my time.
They aren't wasting your time, you are wasting their time. If you fail to have friends or gildies which will help you to do an achievement that would probably take 10 min together, than that's your problem. Being the tank (as you said you are) does neither mean you're the big boss of badass, nor does it give you the right to drop group or even wipe them if the remaining four persons refuse to obey your wims. As stated, the world doesn't consist of you alone.
I am the tank and I am the
Party Leader
.
Don't like my rules? Get out of my group.
It's a random; party leader don't mean squat.

Your "rules" consist of, "Ho hum, I'm going AFK because I decided I don't want to tank for you after all."
That is not being a leader; if there is any leadership in this, it is abuse of power. These other four individuals were stranded with you.
And what's wrong with helping out someone who is a little undergeared, now and then? Why is it that WoW players tend to "eat their young"? There are always new 80s, hitting the dungeons. I've seen some who have the skillset down, much better than people with a much better gearscore, and who did well. I had a tank with 2700 gs just the other day, who surprised me mightily. I had another, two weeks ago, with a 5700 gs, and who was utterly disappointing.

They changed it to
Dungeon Guide
for a reason....
I think you may be that reason.

I still haven't seen any explanation of why you think leaving 7-8 groups before you find people who can do the achievement (which works out to
two hours
alone
of the deserter debuff) is faster than finding people from your guild or friends list.
Again, I don't particularly care about three bad DPS who have to wait another 10 minutes to get their frost badges, I just don't understand why you decided to make it harder on yourself to get these achievements than it has to be.

You aren't stranded. Click the eye on the top of the minimap > teleport out of dungeon > right click frame leave party.
These individuals have been waiting on the queue for 15-30 minutes most of the time. They will have the dungeon debuff applied, and so they have to wait another several minutes before they can even BEGIN to wait for another 15-30.
I'm sure you're not ignorant of this; just ignorant.

oh, and the group I was in voa for recently D/Ed a paladins T10 legs because the leader forgot to set it to master loot. my guildy was the only paladin in the raid, and almost every member rolled disenchant for it. pulled emalon and kolaron on them...
was it wrong? probably, but that was funny as hell and made trade chat fun the entire day.
And why didn't the paladin roll need?
