Just playing around with the talent calculator coming up with a rupture spec that got me an increase in dps from the old combat build.

Anyone else seeing a dps increase using this build?
Please stop.

You haven't picked up either Mutilate nor Hemorrhage.
Either you're using Sinister Strike, in which case you've failed because you don't have 2/2 Imp. Sinister Strike;
Or you're using Backstab, and if this was your old Combat build, then you've used Backstab before in a Combat Daggers build. And if you've been using Combat Daggers as your "PvE" build, then even 0/0/0 may seem 'ok' after that. Doesn't make your build viable.
Hence, please stop.

Missing an Eviscerate in order to maintain Rupture and SnD uptime is perfectly acceptable. It's just like Ferocious Bite for Feral Druids - do it when everything else is up and running.

I'm giving you the build which is best for single target fights where you have a lot of time on the boss. A good example of that would be Festergut. I will be revising this post now that I have more free time and will list more specific specs and rotations which are tuned for fights with a lot of movement and when your target dies too fast for Rupturing (for example Putricide)
As for 7/51/13, it was viable before because back then, poisons did much less of our overall damage. Now 1/3 Vile Poisons and 4/5 Improved Poinsons are too good to drop, even for 3/3 Serrated Blades. Plugging my current Combat gear into the set (mediocre 506 ArP) gives me a 470 DPS loss against the set I've mentioned.
(Your mileage may vary)
. For more exact comparison I suggest you do the same - plug your gear into a sim which is up-to-date with latest changes.
SnD glyph is considered inferior for the following reasons. If you claim that it helps you keep your rotation up and therefore it's viable, then here's a thought. By giving up a slot for SnD, you're gonna lose the Rupture glyph
(KS and ToTT are too good)
, which is alone worth 140-150 DPS
(Your mileage may vary)
. SnD is worth about 40. Rupture glyph itself helps you keep your rotation up, so replacing it with another glyph which gives more damage but essentially does the same job is pointless. What you should do instead is focus less on Eviscerates. Out of three finishers that you're gonna be using, Eviscerate has the lowest priority. Don't sacrifice Rupture elements for SnD. Just spend less time using Eviscerate if you feel that you're out of phase with the cycle.

Vancleef's and Garona's are the same set. One is for the Alliance players and one is for the Horde players.

would refreshing rupture before the duration was out = a dps loss? or as soon as it falls reapply a 5 point rupture.
