this "new" orgrimmar is just a carbon copy of hellfire citadel, and I feel about that just as Durotar (Thrall's father) felt about it as well.......
aparently I'm the only one who sees the "new" orgrimmar for what it really is........
yet another dark-looking monstrosity aimed at making the horde=playable bad guys.......
what are you doing to my beloved horde blizzard? why aren't you stopping this nonsence metzen?
You arn't the only one that see it Rank mate, cause I see it to. And the reference you gave to how Durotan saw hellfire citadel is exactly what I thought of when I sew the design, just like i thought of with warsong hold.
Apparenlty, only like Durotan and Drakkar, who saw with proper eyes and not the eyes of a bloodthursty warrior, just what hellfire citadel really was, and now that same applys to new orgrimmar, reshaped in the dark hordes image.
Its like as if we, the players, are in the same shoes as Durotan seeing our beloved horde change around us and unable to stop it. Its a fuking misery that there pushing this, and I stand by what I've said all along, the reason why the horde Needs Thrall, is to prevent this from happening again.

I'm with Rank and Moo. It looks like Hellfire Citadel.
Thrall will save you at the end...I wish I could believe that.
Hell, it wouldn't have to be Thrall. Gorgonna would work...plus, I can't see as anyone would ever call
her
"just a green human."

which always @#$%es me off that people just refer to Thrall as that rather then seeing him for being the most unique character in warcraft. There really isn't any warcraft without Thrall for me

He's not the most 'unique' by any stretch of the imagination, that's your own fan side coming through; and you may hate it, but it is an apt comment; he was raised by humans for the first 18 years of his life, learned their language, history, military tactics and all the rest. As much as you hate to admit it, Garrosh is more of an orc then Thrall, as the brown skinned orc grew up on Draenor/Outland.

I doubt that; he knows what the demon blood did to his father, and I can't see Garrosh following in those footsteps. But I don't know, Garrosh saw the original Orcs while growing up Nagrand, even if he was part of an outcast group.... and he must have been raised semi-right, as the Greatmother, who helped with Durotan and Draka, didn't beat his arse.

I agree there; but I still don't think he'll ever repeat the Demon Blood experiment.

Doomhammer is the prime example of an Orc. Look, Thrall is a great leader.. but he still has too many flaws, the trust thing the biggest one. Had Doomhammer not died during Lord of the Clans, we'd probably see a much different version of the current Horde... one without a group of genocidal corpses as part of it. But, again, it's too early to start saying that Garrosh is going to transform the Horde back into the Old Horde; he's a moron sure, but he's not stupid enough to alienate his own allies by suggesting they go back to what the Old Horde was.

i dunno

maybe, kinda. not that much, but kinda. that orc, but shamanistic and intelligent and proud and noble. and all the features that orc there still has.
First off, there is nothing even remotely honorable or noble about the image the orcs had in lotr, they were the architypal bad guys and they didn't have anything more to them then that.
If people set a standard of how orcs are by THAT standard then there more clueless then a dancer from highschool the musical.
Its the very reason I love the warcraft orcs now, because they have been shaped into something beyond that image with there practices of honor, shamanism, wisdom and strength, and ones like saurfang, thrall, drek'thar, durotan, showing there not even remotely like that at all.

you know this says to me how you really are looking past exactly what Thrall and his ideology has done for the horde. It be like trying to say to you velen didn't do anything extraodinary for the draenei, he only saved them from damnation and guided his people with wisdom and foresight and saw that they survived, nothing special at all really.
So theres some forsaken who you personally don't like in the horde. So what? This same horde has faught the legion, the illidari, the old gods, the scourge, the black and blue dragonflight, and come off heroic because of it. And who lead them when they did this? It certainly wasn't doomhammer.
you mean, they've kinda been shaped into humans? my apologies, but the way you describe them makes them sound kinda human. try not to get mad, im not trying to upset you here.
any race in wow that walks and talks and stand upright can be discribed as being 'like human' if you can't see the unique quailities in each race.

As for Thrall, he's technically the first Azeroth Orc.

Hey, you asked, I answered... and without Doomhammer, the Horde would be a lot different then it is today, he was one of Thrall's mentors.

I didn't see Thrall in any of those fights (except for the Legion). However I do recall Garrosh for most of those.

Technically, against the Blues, that was all the Horde Northrend Forces... which Garrosh was the leader of.

You honestly think, that because he's been as an npc in 1 raid dungeon, icc, that that also counts as him having been at all those places I've just mentioned? Thats what you said, you just said 'I do recall garrosh in most of those' he has only appeared in icc, and thats it...
Thrall has been at mount hyjal, at the retaking of undercity, in old hillsbrad, and all orcish events in warcraft 3

Because he was the leader of the Orcs in Warcraft 3.... as same as Jaina was the leader of the Humans for the second half of the Game, Malfurion and Tyrande were the leaders for the Night Elves, and so on and so forth. But shall we be honest? Other then Battle of Undercity, Thrall didn't do much in Northrend, due to Blizzard's writers; they changed it so that Garrosh did most of the fights up there, because again, he was leader of the Northern Forces.
