Maybe blizzard is trying to ignore them. Kinda sad that they would let a few anal fan boys direct their game for them.Indeed, if this is in fact the case.
However, Forest Song looks untouched so far. I'm not sure if that's a good sign or a bad sign...but it's also one of the areas highlighted in blue on the map.
And there's a new shaman shrine in Stormwind. While the décor there looks rather Twilight's Hammer so far, those could be placeholders; it seems unlikely that the Twilight's Hammer would be setting up camp directly under Varian's nose.

Some of the zones look like a beta finished product.
because is a polished alpha?
in all seriousness, this is still an alpha if you saw the skywall screenshots, the walls are untextured, and the same goes for several buildings in the now flooded thousand needles......

gusy, i saw one zone which is very well redesigned and polished. why are 161 other zones not that way?

Actully I'm kind of hoping that IS the texture for the skywall. something more ethereal about the look being stone white.

Can I point out that we have a lot of zones to go yet? And that the zones we have seen, we haven't seen every single outpost in them, just a collection of screenshots? Or would that make too much sense?

Well Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isles were part of Burning Crusade, they aren't changing Burning Crusade areas just classic

dead wrong.....
they are not chaning areas in DRAENOR (aka Outland) but areas in azeroth WILL change.
expect to see the island of quel'danas (requires TBC expantion but is part of azeroth) to change quite a bit, also expect to see the ghostlands (requires TBC but is part of azeroth) to change too......
they said that you can fly on azeroth, but still need TBC to step into eversong woods+ghostlands+azuremyst+bloodmyst+quel'danas
and the cata expantion to step into the new cataclysm zones like the Twillight highlands+hyjal+uldum+deepholme+abyssal maw+gilneas+kezan+lost island+tol barad.
but don't think that the draenei/blood elf starting zones will get out unscratched by the cataclysm, as they are part of azeroth too........
only the zones in outland will be 100% unchanged because some of the border zones in northrend will be slightly changed too

Yes, but they haven't actually released any new info on the Burning Crusader server areas Rank, and the Draenei/Blood Elves do fall into those areas.

that's true, but just because they haven't doesn't mean they wont :P
after all, we never saw a single pic of ulduar when WOTLK was in development and yet it did got integrated.
they clearly said that ALL of azeroth would change by the cataclysm, some zones more than others, wich at best means some zones will get minor changes, but no zone will be left untouched, none.

Oh I know, I'm just saying, at the moment, it seems like anything from BC is being ignored, beyond the pretty race getting their sparkling Bladestorms.

Okay, then it wasn't me. I thought it odd that there would be a Twilight's Hammer camp (under a tree) in Stormwind. Hopefully they are just placeholders and it's a shaman shrine. That would be cool.
Also, a lot of the screenshots show areas that are untouched so far, like Forest Song (I would think that it would get slightly better fortifications due to the Horde moving in even more), and Ironforge.

All are currently held by the Alliance.
I'm almost wondering if those won't be Alliance hold-outs in Cataclysm. If so...yeah, Forest Song needs fortifications.

do take in mind what boub said in MMOchamp, the alpha client is still an early build, and more stuff will be added as they patch it in, we haven't nearly seen a flicker of the entire damage and changes done by the cataclysm.
for example duskwood looks 100% identical, so hold yer horses, as time advances more and more will be added.
hell right now not even the maps are added, only a few, but if you try to look at the new duskwood map, it isn't added yet, try to look at the plagelands map it isn't added yet.
patience my young padawan, all will be revealed when we are ready to see it.
heck as much as I wanted to see the skywall (I've had a fasination with celestial realms in all fantasy settings) all I got was 6 screenshots of a bunch of buildings that don't even have textures yet.
and I'm not complaining simply because it's still just an early build, a polished one, but still a build, just look at tol barad to know what I mean.
Edit:
•Screenshots of all the zones are now available, keep in mind that this is an alpha test and some of them do not even have any changes yet. Blizzard will add tons of stuff in the next builds, don't worry.
from the very people who submitted the billion screenshots themselves......
come on ;) I don't know what people understand an alpha or beta to be, but to put it on common terms, if WoW was a person, Alpha is a fetus, Beta is a Baby, the released product is a child, the first patch is adolecense, second patch is young-adulthood, and third patch and any that come after it is full maturity.
what we are looking right now is just a fetus of cata, a beutifull one, but a fetus nonetheless :P

It would be nice, if they do change Bloodmyst and Ghostlands, to actually see cleansing of the taints there.

There always seem to be glitches of some sort at release.
