Well, that's the biggest 'dark' moment to hit Warcraft in years... and considering how 'well' it did, I can see them recycling it again. As for the Worgens; they aren't the same type of beings as the Forsaken are, seeing as they've been too focused on survival for the last few years, but them becoming a darker aspect of the Alliance; sure I can see that, they are being lead by the man who actually admitted to wanting to genociding the Orcs after the Second War. But hey, if he does do something 'evil' hopefully he kills off Sylvanas while he does it heh.

doubtfull, there are some leaders that just can't be removed ATM because there's nobody to replace them.
let's take a look at alliance leaders that "could" be removed and have a safe replacement.
Varian=has his son, sure he's still young to be a king, but heck desperate times call for desperate meassures, if varian were to suddenly die for X reason or another, His son is perfectly capable of stepping into the Throne, he's already proven himself quite mature for his age.
Magni: has his brother Muradin, because Brann is more focused on exploring while muradin is a natural leader, so nothing more to say here, Muradin is next in line, and if that fails, there's that little bronzebeard+darkiron halfbreed on the belly of moira, and by now it should had been born already :P
Tyrande: Malfurion can perfectly lead the night-elves, he already proved to be a badass leader on the third war.
Gelbin: he's a gnome! who the hell cares? they all look the same anyways, and gelbin is irrelevant, any nameless gnome can replace him and have little to no impact on the story.
Velen: Unique, imposible to replace, if something happened to him, I can't honestly picture someone who would be as good a leader as he is. (all hail velen :D most awesome alliance leader ever)
Genn: has his son, Prince Liam, granted we don't know if he survives the starting area of the worgen, but I wanna bet he does.
on the horde things are a little bit more grim........
Thrall=Garrosh, agreed he's a terrible replacement, but at least there won't be a power vacumm if he steps down as warchief, and even if garrosh sucks so bad his own people hang him, others like Drek'thar and Saurfang can be good leaders too (I have it on good authority that if Saurfang ever becomes Warchief, the alliance will NEVER have another black bear :P that achievement will be a feat of strength)
Cairne=His son Baine, granted, there's too little lore about him, but at least there's someone.
Forsaken= none, that entire faction was founded and grouped together by Sylvannas, they all worship with the same devotion that naga worship Azshara, if she dies, I can see the rest of the forsaken dieing with her by trowing the full force of them to whoever killed her, untill that group is dead or the forsaken are completely wiped out. (wich wound't necesarily be a bad thing :D)
Goblin: same as gnomes... who cares? they all look the same, any midget can lead them, is not that big a deal.
Loth'emar theron: Lady Liandrin, she's a capable leader, and far more cooler than him, and she's also devoted to purging the blood-elves of their fel taint, cure them of their adiction to magic, and even unify the blood elves and highelves as 1 nation again, HOLY SMOKE! O_o
Vol'jin: hard to tell, he probably doesn't have anyone, but we don't know much about him, he could have a son we don't know about, even then, trolls are a small comunity, so anyone could lead them, the leader of sen'jin could be a good example.

or they off each other.
Edit: Actully Rank, if your saying Garrosh being Thralls replacement, but none of velen, I say he can be placed in that same contex with
Vindicator Maraad
.
Its just to compare, Velens awesomeness can't be replaced with a lesser character anymore then Thralls can.

who says he can't lead them both? besides, when he regains his memory, he's phased out of frosthold and another frost dwarf takes his place.........

He's also the third brother Rank, which means Brann is next in line as the half-Ironforge half-Dark Iron is from a Princess who gave up her title to the Ironforge throne.

Because he went to fight the Lich King.

Really?
This says a lot about my memory. But anyways, I suppose he could take over, but then the question is whether Moira's son would be considered King if that happened.
The paragraph as above, just about Brann.

keep in mind i think what there doing now is prep so we can fall into line with the more famous of velens prophecys(imo he kinda like nostradamus minus the crypic crap).
you know the one were we put aside our petty quarrels become one faction and go kick some demon ass.
this line of thinking that was so epic on TBC was shot down, burned, crucified, buried deeep deepp below the surface, by blizzard a long time ago, it seems they regret the whole "army of light" thingie and want a simple "deathmatch" in azeroth.
I highly doubt that this will come to pass in wow, so many bad blood has been added to the alliance and horde alike that it would take in-game decades for it to fade away.

What you are talking about has been bugging me too. Thrall was a great leader and should not be lost to Garrosh. Garrosh is an impulsive, dim witted, hot head, a**hole.
I am really going to miss Thrall. Also Thrall was a Diplomat Garrosh wants war and only war. ( Yes I know that's the concept of the game but still.)

Aye, why would a site about the best specs and abilities for raiding have anything to do with lore?

Because it's a real and well known website, so it
must
be legit!

I told you where to go,I'm not going to link things and get wowhead in trouble with blizz. Hence not saying whats going on.
Follow where I told you to go,its pretty simple to find it.
In other words, it's just people speculating, and nothing official from Blizzard confirming or denying.
