EDIT: FFVII:AC. Hands down one of the best anime films. (And it IS technically Anime) There's also a clip from it in Adams's sig, and it's dubbed, so I have a certain feeling ^.-Eh, it's animesque.
Actually, it is true anime. Animesque would be Avatar: The Last Airbender. Made by an American. It's an animated movie made in Japan, thus, it's anime, albiet not styled like the usual ones.
Actually, it's an enhanced version of the original CGI cut scenes from Final Fantasy 7; while done by a Japanese creator, it's not part of one of the major anime studios, and is an extension of the Squareenix Movie Studio, same group that did Spirits Within. I call it animesque because, spikey hair withstanding, there isn't as much as normal to connect it to a typical anime.

Hell Girl.AKA Jigoku Shoujo, I liked this series but it is
ridiculously
repetitive for the first 12 episodes or so.
I figure MyTie has probably abandoned this thread by now, but...
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
.
The first four episodes conclude the first mini-arc. Also gonna put out there that the first arc is a question arc, with the next one, "Kai" being an answer arc, and "Rei" beginning another answer arc.

Finally, a fellow fanboy.<3 me some Higurashi.
Ive been dipping into the sport genre of anime and so far im liking it alot. Been watching Slam Dunk! and picked up where I left off with Prince of Tennis, both very good animes. I guess Hikaru No Go can sorta count to. Anyone else with more suggestions? Ive already seen Fighting Spirit, would love to find a good baseball style one.Bro, One Outs is your thing. It's a gambling/psychological anime using a baseball theme. It's incredible.
