Anyone in your level range (green-red) is fair game on a PvP server.
The factions are at war and world PvP adds some thrill to the game regardless if you are the ganker or the "victim". Defeating a ganker is one of the best experiences you can get in PvP.
Killing players that are "grey" level to you is comparable with killing children in real war, it might help your war effort but you lose respect with everyone.

If you came to a forum for support on the ganking of an entire lvl15ish zone for 2 hours or more (As I understand "few hours"), than give up.
However, the ganked player creating an alt only to whisper him curses was just as foolish. You got a point there.
That hardly gives you the right to do what you did, especially because the gank happened -before- said player created that alt to answer you back.
As one of the posters before said, according to lore, you're supposedly on a treaty with the Alliance. Being on a Player versus Player server doesn't give you the right to a dishonorable duel repeatedly. Perhaps, killing a player on the way, than mounting and moving forward would be a /whocares situation. Staying on a level 15 zone repeatedly instantly made you lose all credibility, sorry.

Oh, I used Duelling in the normal sense of the word (One versus Another), not Blizzard's definition of it.
Player versus Player implies some sort of answer possible. I'm sorry, but I don't see how a level 15 can respond in any way to an assault from a level 80 player. You weren't PvPing, you were purging the zone of the Alliance.
Also, if you stood 2 hours+ in one place, chances are you spam killed the same players over and over again. You took control of a questing area with little resistance possible, especially being a stealth class that could avoid level 80 interference.
It's not a question of what is doable or not... It's a question of what is justified or not. You're asking for oppinions about world PvP, and people are giving them. They consider lvl15 vs lvl80 combat far from PvP. Even though they rolled a PvP server, they rolled it for fights, not for slaughter. I also love hanging in Stranglethorn and Hellfire. The possibility of being attacked by one or various enemies is thrilling. But the presence of level 80s KILLS ALL THE THRILL. I may escape - so what? Wherever they are, I can't be. How is that PvP,
when one of the players has such an advantage that the other is forced to run away no matter how skilled he is
? That's not true PvP.
I'm definatelly not one to make an alt and QQ to my opponents, but if level 80s are scouting the area, I'd rather log out thann feed their egos. How the hell does that make for thrilling PvP? The vague possibility a main is called and takes ages to get there? The vaguer possibility of a level 80 passing by? (Admitedly this doesn't apply to STV in fishing extravaganza times).

I concede that your STV argument is valid (the only one in this whole thread actually!)
If you are aware that your arguments are not valid...why post them? ;o)
Contested territories are fair game and I like to think I gave some low levels some much needed excitement after doing 1hour of kill x boars routine.
The excitement a level 20 gets from getting oneshot by a lvl 80 is zero.
Excitement needs buildup time: My health drops...what happens? a druid! fight or flight?
Bam dead only leads to frustration or resignation.

At the OP, you posted a question and people answered. What's wrong with that?
You are a lvl 80 ganking Alliance in an alliance controlled area known for questing and leveling up. It's nowhere near Org, TB, UC, or any horde capitals. You intentionally went there to gank lowbies. None of that sounds pathetic to you?
Truthfully the only people that find that time to gank lowbies for the amount of time you seem to do it are people without skill. Sure you're on a pvp server, but do some real pvp. Take the time you spend ganking lowbies to improve your pvp game. From your 1231 Arena rating, it looks like you've already failed at REAL pvp and have nothing else to do but gank lowbies. Seriously, L2P.
The majority of people that gank with that high a level difference either can't compete with the big boys, got ganked themselves when they were leveling up multiple times, or just want vengeance of some kind for whatever reason. I mean why Redridge? Couldn't you gank somewhere higher level? Is redridge the only place you can find prey?
From your raid experience I can clear see you have no clue about raiding or the PvE aspect of things. Also you aren't very good at real PvP. So you spend your $15 a month and hours online to gank level 30's with your level 80 toon? From your sig post about GS sucking, I'm assuming you can't get into raids as well correct?
This is just a pathetic post from a pathetic player that really has nothing else to do in game. Ganking lowbies really isn't a challenge. We've all done it, but it gets boring after a while. You know why, because there's no challenge to it. From your char's stats it seems like you enjoy that route, a non challenging game experience. That's probably why this game is so tailored to casuals. Even the unskilled can hit 80 and find something to waste their time on.

Since you keep coming back I'll assume you aren't really trolling and really don't understand. You asked multiple questions, not just one.
These people want to quest in peace and yet pvp in a controlled environment like WG or BG's/Arena- which sounds like they should be playing on a PvE server no?
People play on a pvp server to pvp, be it world pvp or whatever. To actually get to a point where it's fun you have to level up. It's part of the pvp leveling experience, and sort of a right of passage. You can't convince me that you had fun the entire time you leveled in SS/TM or STV on a pvp server can you?
I just dont understand the premise of respect when we are on a different faction, this whole ridiculous fair fight "oh dont worry I will wait till mana up, buff up etc" mentality.
Why?
Different faction is one thing, Fair fight is another. There's a clear reason there are BRACKETS for BG's and PvP. As you have already experienced, losing 6 million times in your fail Arena group tends to get dull after a while and hence why you stopped doing Arenas and starting picking on lowbies. This is why everyone says you fail, because you can NOT do real pvp but decide to gank lowbies. It's like if you went to a grade school and started beating up kids. Maybe fun for you but eventually the cops arrest you and throw you into jail.
If you are going through a contested zone then expect the opposing faction to
contest
your presence by 2 shotting you.
Why shouldn't they?
You technically aren't "going through". You stopped for "hours":
I spent a few hours today
going through
ganking Redridge
Redridge is nowhere near a Horde Capital city as I explained. It's also one of the earliest starter zones for Alliance to level up in. People in their 20's and 30's don't even come close to standing a chance to a lvl 80, no matter how poorly geared.
So- whats wrong with ganking?
It's actually griefing at that point. If you continuously gank and stalk one person in particular it can actually lead to Blizz stepping in to take disciplinary action.
And why are PvE'rs/Part-time PvP'ers on PvP servers?
It would be nice if everyone started out at lvl 80, but that's not the case. Are you perhaps trying to prevent people from hitting 80 so that you would have more people that are on even ground? They will eventually hit 80 and you will still have to continue hiding from the level 70-80 zones.
Your thoughts gentleman?
People gave their thoughts. You just refused to accept that they call you a failure. It's really sad that you haven't found anything better to do in this game. I mean really, do you need that 60 level difference to stand a chance? Have you tried ganking people in the 70 range in Northrend and gotten killed?
Your gear, achievements, history, etc explains a lot into why you are at the place you are at now.
2) If you read my QQ post on GS you would know that I COULD get into raids so your point is?
Which raids are you getting into? According to
Pugchecker
you haven't done anything outside VoA. No ToC, 2 bosses in Ulduar, 3 in Naxx, no ICC. If you're gonna link a QQ thread at least have the guts not to lie about your lack of skill. That way when people call you out for your lack of PvE skill, lack of PvP skill, and your pathetic griefing of lowbies you can understand what we are talking about.

Someone's gonna have to step in and explain it as you would a child. It's like talking to a brick wall and I just don't have the patience to explain it to him.
Different faction is one thing, Fair fight is another. There's a clear reason there are BRACKETS for BG's and PvP.
Absolutely! In bg's and arena its about a fair fight- I am not talking about that so how is it relevant?
I was trying to explain there's a reason why brackets exists. So that people can pvp with a fighting chance. What you do in redridge isn't, there is no point to it.
It's actually griefing at that point. If you continuously gank and stalk one person in particular it can actually lead to Blizz stepping in to take disciplinary action.
Who said I ganked continously? I checked out redridge, spent a couple of hours (maybe 2) riding around talking to /g and whenever I saw a red name I killed it.
Spending a few "hours" killing lowbies would be considered ganking continuously. Do you really not understand that?
I have 15K'ish honorable kills so I guess so? But its not relavent since this wasn't about the morality of ganking but rather the choice of servers.
You can spend half a day afking in AV and get 15k honorable kills. What's your point?

Man you really cant read can you?
Oombulance dinged 09/05/2010.
I have been focusing on clearing achievements before Cata since I view end of season/prior to new expansion slump as prime time to get as much as the old world achievs as I can.
Where did I lie you retard? I never stated I was uber at pve or pvp-
Ok try to follow along here. I started out saying you fail at pve and QQ about GS. You said you "COULD" get into raids. My answer was that you have NOT gotten into raids. Thus you fail. Understand?
And since you are GOING to ding in the future:
Oombulance dinged 09/05/2010.
I'll assume you can't tell time or which calendar day it is either.
It's so tiring having to use small words and you still don't understand. GL with your ganking/griefing, hopefully someone can explain to you why its pathetic.
