Does the Dual Wield Specialization ability in Enhancement give spell hit now? Rogues and DKs all have talents that give them 6% spell hit.
Been a while now since I logged on to my beta client, but I do believe it still only gives melee hit. It'll probably remain that way unless they change the hit for dks and rogues too?

Not sure if I'm missing something obvious... but what happened to the Lightning Overload talent, the one that has a chance to trigger extra bonus lightning bolts that do half damage and cause no threat?
I can't seem to see it in the new tree, whether as a talent or even in the passive abilities that you get at level 10. Did I miss the blue post where they announced they were getting rid of it?
Thanks for any tips!
edit: Aha, ignore that, I just browsed and found what I was looking for under the new Mastery system. Thanks Wowhead for the nice Cata guide.... <3

Still waiting for the Searing Totem change for Elemental Shamans. 20 (26 talented) yard range is just way to short to be usable.
Indeed. I'm quite pleased by these changes, but it's something we have known since the aftermath of the previous build. No real news there. Searing Totem should indeed be upped in range - and should be easy to merge into another talent, or simply added as a Tier 6 1-pointer, that added another fancy effect to it, like prolonged duration, a chance to renew Flame Shock... or something else.

Liking the amazing buff on Flametongue Weapon - other than that, there's no real changes that affects Elemental - but again, that looks pretty good at the moment.
Primal Wisdom being implemented as a passive is a good move :)

Kinda feel stupid to ask because I should know it but since MP5 will be removed, will spirit give regen when in combat? Now druids and priests have talents that convert spirit to mp5 kinda (regen while in combat) but shamans dont have that. Also I dont see something like that in the current talent trees or spells.
And when I see the mana tide totem change it almost has to give regen during combat. Else that totem is kinda loosing its purpose.
I'd expect Spirit to work exactly like Mp5 now (as in
x
Spirit giving
y
Mp5).

Every Healing spec gets
Meditation
as a passive Skill. So do restoshamans.
Did anyone else tried some ele rotations on the ptr or beta?
So far the following priority list brought me some decent results:
1. Searing Totem
2. Flame Shock
3. Earth Shock on 9 Stacks
4. Lavaburst
5. Lightning Bolt
Elemental Mastery is used on cooldown. (Marcoed it into LB)
Unleash Elements will probably be prioritized before Lavaburst or point two will change to Unleash Elements -> Flame Shock. The second one seems more promising for me, though i cannot test it as I do not have beta access.

Ah yes, forgot about that one - correct!

I would probably toss in UE after Flame Shock, to avoid its charge being spend on that.
