Well im pissed i didnt win, but i'm surprised at who did. I thought this was supposed to be original and serious. I've heard others as well and i am just disappointed. The fact that all i had to do was type 11112/11111111 is ridiculous. However the one by striker I thought was extremely intelligent.
The irony is that most people are saying how easy it was to get that haiku in - which is exactly like mage DPS, which it is lampooning. Gotta love when unintended irony pops up.

That is not irony. That is coincidence. Irony is when you say something that is opposite of its literal meaning. Sarcasm is a form of verbal irony.

Dramatic irony. Their words have no significance beyond their intended message as far as they concerned, but to myself, who wrote the haiku in question, they are very significant as it validates the point of the haiku.
Eh, it is kinda a shoehorn into there. It fits, just barely.

Eh, dramatic irony really only fits when an author uses it with one of his less informed characters. I'll grant you the shoehorn though, because a lot of people just don't get the lampoon.

out of curiosity and i haven't read every single forum post, do submissions from Day 1 still transfer to every other day or only the day u created them for.

In my opinion, the only haiku worthy of being there is Striker's, which is actually the only haiku essence-wise. Haikus are not meant to be funny. Other than that, wanna wish him 祝好运.
P.S.: Could we post our haikus live, at least after the competition, so we can see the cut ones too?
P.P.S.: Is Flyers a one-syllable or two-syllable word? That could explain my case.
Edit: Sorry, Martacus's is fine too, just didn't notice.
