Excuse me, what makes you think that there are better submissions than these? Since you don't know what people have posted, you probably think your submissions deserve to be in this poll more than the others, which is pretty normal because simple humans like you are made to be selfish.
I didn't make any submissions to the contest, because I don't think I'm very creative in this regard. And yet I still find the posted submissions lacking.

Interrupting cow, the current leader, is a very old joke. I thought it was amusing when I first heard it. But like most jokes, with repetition comes dullness.

The current second place haiku, the Old Spice reference, is so loosely tied to WoW that I'm surprised it was even accepted, much less posted. I could post the exact same haiku to a contest for Guild Wars, or Lord of the Rings, or any other game with an axe (it doesn't even have to be fantasy) and still claim relevance. In a word: meh.

I could go on, but you get the point. I don't have to have submissions to have criticisms of the listed haikus. Could I have done better? I doubt it. Like I said, poetry and haikus are not my strong point.
Not to mention you don't realize that different people have different taste, which often has nothing to do with yours. Some people like blue, some people like pink or yellow and some people that made this contest happen like those haiku more than yours.

Every single contest that have been made have turned into a flame war by the very same people, unhappy that they are not chosen for winners. Could for once in your life consider the possibility that you are not alone in this world and that there are thousands of others that are probably better at something that you think you are good at?

Could you for once respect other people's work and efforts? Do you really enjoy living such a hateful and small-minded life?

And one day, when you happen to win some kind of contest, you will realize how unpleasant it is to face all the hatred of the crowd that hates you only because you've been the winner. And then remind to yourself that you've been once part of that crowd too.

No, it's not ironic.

My friend used to draw a lot, and submitted a number of pieces to artistic competitions. She got a few awards and several honorable mentions. But you know what else she got? More than anything else? Criticism. "I like this, but it could be better." Or maybe "I can't stand this type of drawing." Perhaps a "This is great, but it could be better if..." Or even just "oof."

I'm not saying that there aren't ever personal attacks mixed in. "I hate this because the artist is ugly." But if you show your work, and only expect to hear flowers and rainbows and happy thoughts (whatever sound those may make), you're in for a world of disappointment.
