Not me, but I saw someone kicked from a guild because they pugged an ICC25, when we as a guild had already done one...
a couple of days before that person joined the guild
. Apparently they were expected to come and save themselves to an in-progress ICC25 later in the week with the rest of the guild.
Sounds like u are talking about me except my situation was a ten man. I was like WTF guild i have 3 80's i can take my pick for who i want to bring to the raid (Disc priest, Holy paladin, MM Hunter). Anyway they kicked me cause they wanted to tell my who i could and couldn't bring, yeah F&%k that.

I've only been kicked once, and it really was wierd.
In tbc, I was completly in love with the Arcane Spec for Mages. And I played it rather well. I joined a guild to do some raiding and on the first SSC run I did with, I got kicked mid Lurker fight... The GM happend to be a fire mage, and I apparently beat him on the DPS meters. The message was "The members have to look up to me as I am the GM, so you can't be better than me. And they will not respect me if a girl is doing a better job than me." Then he said I could join again if I flashed him on msn... And was very serious about it. Never talked to him again.
Funny what some people think gives them respect. To me, I would absolutely NOT respect a GM who kicks someone because they were better at dps and because they're a girl, and I would especially lose all respect for someone who says "You can join again if you show me your bewbs". That's pretty terrible behavior, and I can't imagine anyone thinking that was a good idea.

I got kicked out of 2 guilds on the same day on 2 different characters...
First one was on my Druid alt that I was leveling. I was in a leveling guild different from my mains guild, just so I could get to know some more people that I can call up for pugs and such. Well, the GM's wife/girlfriend was talking about how to dps as a hunter, and she included meleeing, I called her on it, and the GM didn't like that and kicked me. We had some words towards eachother about that in /w.
Then on my main I got kicked because I was only trying to gear it up, where as everyone else was raiding the current content (ToC i think). Anyways, because I wasn't on much and leveling my alt, I got kicked (I got no explanation, but this is what I'm guessing).
I ended up in a guild that was run by the same people as the guild my main was in a couple weeks later, and became one of their top dps a few weeks later, and a staple in the guild. Then they merged with that guild that my alt was in. They kept starting $%^& while the main raid group (The leaders/officers/me) was raiding, so we'd have to stop and deal with that. Anyways, I became too annoyed with the new guild, and left.

They were doing ICC10 and had me on a "backup DPS" list if one of their DPS couldn't make it.
I was then invited to a ICC10 run with another guild I know. I figured "well, I'm already in this one. So f-it." and went on the run.
The guild leader saw where I was and started flipping out I might get saved. I'm thinking "It would be for a week, and we all know I'm at the bottom of your retarded list" and told him I could use the gear from this run to be more prepared if I actually got into one of the ICC groups in my guild.
He had the members take a vote and I just barely managed to stay in the guild, with him still flipping out.
If you really felt that way, you should have cleared it with your current guild's raidleader; as it stands you did deserved a kick there.
Yeah, I don't get what is with guilds and the idea that people will just sit around doing nothing
in case
the guild needs them later. Sorry, but you don't dictate to me what I can do in the game unless you're paying my subscription fee.
They do dictate what you can do in the game
if you stay in that guild
; if you like just leave and find a guild that does let you get saved; chances are they won't progress very far.
If you join a
serious
raiding guild, there are certain expectations and commitments; main one being that you are expected to be able to join the raids. This includes being benched but available for raiding later. Getting saved on the guild's progression raid in a pug before the guild has finished raiding for the week, and you could very well hamper the guild from finishing raiding that reset.
PuGing it after the last scheduled raidday of the week is perfectly fine, and why you se so many pugs the day before reset.
15 pages of flame war if i deserved a guildkick for a stuppid reason before the mods finaly closed of
So violating guild rules are stupid?
It might be a stupid rule, but there are better ways of dealing with that then just ignoring them
%^&* YOU.
I personaly don't care what the guild rules are if I get kicked for doing OS when we never do it I am taking over half the guild with me... done it twice before had the guild disbanded basicly.

It's an "abide by the rules" situation. If you are in a guild, you are expected to obey their rules. I probably would've issued a warning and said "next time, clear it with an officer first."
But honestly, a person who can't follow a simple rule may not be able to follow a somewhat simple raid command...like "RED <------ THADDIUS ++++++> BLUE".
That particular instance is over-the-top, but the scenario is mostly valid.
Edir: Polarities backwards.

I disagree with you, in fact, in my guild, the GM is female. She gets along with everyone fine, including her husband, who is also in the guild.

My old guild was kind of bad. While I was there the GM (and consequently the GM's wife) changed once.
There were like eight competent players at any given time, but both wifes were on that list.

I was amazed half the raid was made of trials and the GM had to explain tactics even to the "core raiders". Upon showing my amazement I was instantly removed from the guild.

I've never been kicked but I've seen a guy /ragequit over the weirdest thing and blame it on me.
So we're doing a quickie FoS hc after a raid one night. Me and another shammy, a boomkin (not been played for months since hitting 80, although the guy had been on regularly on his main), DK and priest.
So, the boomkin's undergeared compared to us, but meh - we're majorly overgeared so it's all good. I had to go for a very brief afk at one point early on so I hit /follow and off I went. While I was gone the boomkin was asking for water - well, we were all short as we'd forgotten to stock up after the raid.
I come back and a minute or so later he said something like "So, no water?" I replied with something like "God I hope not, I can't swim!". I didn't know about the above at this point, coming back to a chat log spammed by loot messages, so I didn't really twig what he was talking about.
We finished the run without water being mentioned again and he dropped group, we switched around for fresh 80's to run another frostie run with and my chat log was so spammed with loot messages I never noticed the boomkin logging his many alts and /gquitting them all one by one.
What caught my attention was when he was on his main and said: "well *!@# you very much !" /gquit
Me: 0.0 (irl too)
When it was explained to me later, it turns out the original conversation was a bit longer and ended with the other shammy calling the boomkin a dumbass for some reason. We can only imagine he got his shammies mixed up and blamed me...

when LK came out, I joined a guild that wanted to level and raid Naxx asap. I was logging on everyday and leveling just as fast if not faster than everyone else. Well I had to work three 12 hour days one weekend and fell behind. The GM got a lil upset and told me to pick up the pace. Well being the person I am and putting work before the game I simply explained that I couldnt keep up and decided to quit. Just before that I added the highest levels to my friends list to see how well they were doing. I hit 80 before all except for mabe one. Even a few months after I hit 80, They still didnt have a full group for 10 man raids.
When my wife first started playing, she joind a social guild. Not really knowing how to play, she didnt even know how to use the chat log. One weekend after not paying she came back to find herself guildless. We asked the GM why only to hear a "you were very rude, and we kick for that!" type response. I then asked If the GM could explain. She said that my wife cursed at another player. I then explained that we were away and my wife didnt even know how to use the chat considering she just started. Of course I quit that guild also. Later The GM started to get a reputation of being a complete psycho.

Wasn't kicked, but my leaving was the reason someone raged and then they kicked him....
Key people of the guild had been away, like for a month+ so I took it on myself to step up and start leading and tanking raids, getting people geared.
Then one day a couple people come back around, accept my raid, the raid I scheduled, and one of those people was an officer. So raid day comes around he starts inviting people, he was also gone long enough for me to outgear him and everyone else, but low and behold...I was never invited, although his friends, crappy DK tank, and his 400 dps DK friend, yeah they were there...it had certainly hit my enrage phase, but I was quiet, just logged and did a server swap.
A couple days later some people notice, and one guy goes crazy, yelling and calling people out for being that way of benching the only person keeping them afloat, apparently he said enough things to get booted...shortly after several others started their exodus...
