Is it just me who thinks Blizzard should stop handing out every single class to any possible race?

Gnome priests, from what I understand, basically just saw their god. I could be wrong, I don't follow gnome lore...at all. But if that is the case I think seeing your god would make you a little religious. Not their God, but the fact that they have discovered(even though they weren't looking for it), the origin of their species in the Tundra, Storm Peaks and Ulduar; it was a little shocking to them, and made them reconsider this whole 'faith' thing.... but I'm still hoping for the Church of Grand Ideas for the religion instead of the Church of Light like the other Alliance members heh.
Undead Paladin is a huge leap of faith here. There may be, just may be, a single one that I can think of off the top of my head (can't remember his name though, feel free to supply it).Zielek the Horseman, and that has been explained; his willpower lets him use the Light, but it still causes his body pain, while his mind is free, which is why he yells at us to flee.

Goblin Shaman are actually hilarious, Goblins are basically paying the elementals to work with them. Elementals are greedy, they want things, and Goblins are providing. I have no idea what the payment arrangement is but the whole idea is very Goblin.
While slightly off-topic, I thought I'd share
this
. Goblin shamanism at its finest. :-D
Also as for gnome priests. There's nothing hinting towards them actually worshipping any deity as far as I know... they're simply refered to as doctors/field medics. The
trainer
refers to the spells as techniques as well.

As for rogues, as far as I'm concerned any non-cloven race should be able to be one.
Issue with that is what I stated earlier... There are plenty of satyr rogues. So IMO it's a combination of the hooves as well as the fact that rogues are shady, which doesn't really fit in with draenei or tauren culture (except for Grimtotem). Also, I'm inclined to say how large the races are has to do with it too... After all, even if you add in the mysticism to the rogue class, I still find it hard to believe in a tauren rogue (all jokes aside). Draenei I could see, if it wasn't for the whole honor thing.

That actually makes perfect sense. Gnome as field medics... Of course. And it would make for excellent RP.

Yeah but I wasn't the one who originally said the 'leap of faith' comment, that was
sufasafaia
on the previous page.

Lol, suppose so(and yes, I am just doing this to mess up your front page post spam lol).

Just my 2 cents. I think it would be better to limit classes to races and just add more race options. I really don't follow lore that much. I think most players don't follow it too much either. So Blizzard may be catering to the masses with the recent changes.

I still can't buy the whole Holy Undead Priest argument. How can they cast Holy Spells to heal Undead comrades then? Do -they- possess the willpower to withstand the heal? I always thought they simply manipulated an alternative energy with similarities to Holy in effect, but altogether different. It just seems really hard to find sense into this.

The Holy Heal cast on another Forsaken is like cauterizing a wound. Most of them are technically using the Shadow to cast a spell to keep their fellow undead in one piece; remember they are undead, they feel no physical pain(the part that is burned is their 'soul').

Troll warlocks will be available in Cata, along with dwarf warlocks.

I like the idea of gnome priest etc,
The problem with the 'uniqueness' is it's unfair that you used to HAVE to be horde just to play shaman, or druid just to be alliance.
It makes the game more fair.
...Paladin, not Druid lol; both sides have had Druids since launch.

Actually the only reason they really changed the whole Paladins for alliance only and Shaman for Horde only was due to whining about raiding and PVP.
Horde was constantly upset because Paladins were mostly the superior class in a raid. Alliance were a bit upset because Shaman was mostly a better class in PVP situations.
They got so fed up with the whining when BC came out they gave each side the class they were missing.

In my opinion, any race should get access to any class (maybe with an exception of Undead paladins, because the light has abandoned them). Why?
Let's take a Draenei warlock as an example: Draenei generally don't use demons, shadow, etc, but why aren't there any exceptions? It's like Tolkien's orcs: always chaotic evil. It makes no sense, the fact that you are blue and have hooves doesn't prevent you from summoning demons. Your rules might. But does everyone have such rules?
