Hi.. Im Crowd Control, have we met?
The days of aoe farming dungeons are gone.
Welcome to
vanila/tbc
.. er... cata!
Hi, i am a generic WotLK dps. I have not met that guy you are talking about.
BTW my favorite things to do are: hitting DIVAN STORM, raging at the tank for not holding aggro, saying "gogogogo", and watching re^&*! lol.
<back to my character>
I am glad things are gonna be the way they are (hopefully) gonna be. But it will be a major pain in the ass to get people used to it. Been doing Yogg +1 just for fun yesterday, and god were those DPS stupid when it came to aggro.

When the patch 4.0.1 will be out, how will we tank and hold aggro on the first pack of trash mobs in Icecrown Citadel with the raid AoEing those trash with spells ?
And since I use a login and password to log to the website to post comments, why does
it ask me to fill a Captcha thingie ?

You'll probably need to wait a little longer before the raid starts AoEing, but shouldn't be much more than that...

That's how they keep people from making accounts to spam with bots and such.

Shred vs. Mangle
So, most of us are probably aware that the Shred vs. Mangle damage gap was going to be reduced so that we can continue to be competitive in fights where we are not able to shred throughout the fight (I'm looking at you Kologarn!). After a bit of testing between live and the beta, I've come up with these approximations.
- Beta Live
Shred, no Mangle
Average Hit - 979 1423
Average Crit - 1945 3235
Mangle
Average Hit - 986 1500
Average Crit - 2009 3409
Shred w/ Mangle
Average Hit - 1270 1853
Average Crit - 2527 4199
All of these averages were taken from a sample of approximately 20 attacks in each set. The beta model is in ilvl 251 gear in every slot, save trinkets, which have procs and would have skewed the test, and the live model is my druid with a mix of 232-264 badge gear. The beta druid has a total of 4364 attack power in cat form, while the live one has 7285 in cat form.
As you can see, both mangle and shred, by themselves are fairly equal on the beta, with only a 3% difference in damage, where as the live numbers show a 5% difference. Not much.
Shred with Mangle debuff vs Mangle alone:
From the beta numbers, we can determine that Shredding with Mangle will give a difference of 22.4%, compared to live which is 19.1%. If my math seems wrong, please correct me.
Combat logs can be uploaded on request of this as well.
That all seems preatty nice but is the tester using savage roar on the live? It seems those values are rather small tbh if hes using savage roar.
Also SR no longer increases our shred/mangle damage in cata, so if this values are without SR the difference would be bigger.
Im just saying cause on the ptr i see myself doing around 3k less dps on the same gear.... My shread crits for 3k less damage on average.

Wild Mushrooms: Do you have to wait the 6 seconds for them to become invisible, or can you detonate them more or less instantly?
Is the detonation on or off the gcd?
I'd like to add to this, is it instant cast?

Edit Again: New pre-made has no new glyphs. More are likely to be added in a future patch.
You can buy glyphs from various NPCs in the inscription trainer building in Dalaran. (unless they've changed that very recently)
