The best lvling spec for a rogue with BoA's is the one that you find the most entertaining to play. Nuff said!
BoA's makes rogues waay to badass to die anyway... esp when Cata hits and you can get BoA cloak and helm :)

You can only backstab with a dagger in your mh.

leveling sub with shadowstep is pretty good. just get a huge mace/sword/whatever and spam hemo, don't even think about bs.
maybe you don't have as much cds as combat, but shs is really good in terms of mobility, it cut a lot of running around.
anyway, combat is still better (no stealth required = faster pace).

Seeing as it still ambush-eviscerate two-shot things, and experience in BGs isn't based on how much damage you do, it shouldn't have a significant effect on the amount of experience you gain.
Well ambush can now be used with any weapon, so you would be better of with your slow mh.
Also experience might not be based on damage, but damage does play
a
role in battlegrounds. Especially in the lower levels.
But if you want to play pedantics because you failed at reading comprehension, be my guest. I already gave my input to the thread. :)
Dont worry, i accept that i read over it.
Jeez.

Eh, if people wanna have a slow mh and slow oh, w/e...if they are having fun and giving blizz money, who cares...Leveling as combat with that mace is much better (as you get more use out of it then i would think) then again there is no more weapon specialization in combat anymore. (hate maces anyway, i like my twin axes)

ok maybe there is a little incomprehension here.
a slow mace/sword/gnomeonastick means that weapon speed is around 2.5/2.6.
a slow dagger has the weapon speed around 1.7/1.8
a fast weapon (dagger/sword/whatever) has the weapon speed around 1.5/1.4
for ambush and istant attacks you want a slow dagger. yeah, it's faster than a sword, but it's still slower than offhands weapons.
for the rest you are correct, with a dagger ambush does more damage, but it's a neglegible difference especially for leveling, and even more while leveling with boa.
the only thing about leveling sub is that it's pretty hard (read: not worth the effort) to stunlock the mobs to get the opportunity to use backstab, so since ambush can be use with any weapon, just stick with the boa mace as mh and spam hemo.

Fast dagger does significantly more ambush damage than slow mace because of the dagger's special damage coefficient.
Can i see your numbers on this?
Highly unlikely that a fast dagger does more damage than a slow mace mh with ambush.

Stuff
b) 9% free haste!
More stuff
...While i agree with some of that (ill always play sub when out in the world unless i need to fight multiple mobs...combat is my ass-saver) I would like to point out that combat doesn't give free haste, only weapon speed (god this reminds me of the 5 way arguement about the importance of SnD in each of the 3 specs on trade chat for some reason...)

Don't give evidence, it's not enough.
