When I logged on here and saw someone arguing just to argue.
Off-topic: Is Aestu ever going to get a timeout?
Perhaps if we report him enough.
I'm pretty sure I've
sucked up to the mods
got enough "renown" on this forum to try to petition a (temp or permanent) ban...
Hmm.

Let's get back on topic now, alright? If there's any problems with any of decisions done by the staff (including myself, naturally), it should be directed towards . Besides that, there's no reason to derail a thread completely over it - at all.

Naw, they all do that. Same thing as a chicken flailing about after you take its head off.

Speaking as the Retired until Cata Guy, I once met another
Guy
that declared publicly that he is going to quit wow after WotLK as the new xpac was going to introduce a new pattern of pixels similar to what he had 'farmed' for.
^ Story related
Would that count as taking it too seriously?
Edit: Oh notice that i didn't name anyone :D

You're right. They don't explicitly state anything about it, but the mods do have precedent of removing anything that identifies a specific player or guild. I've even had a post of mine mod-edited to remove a guild name I created of the top of my head as an example of something.
A mod edited your post, saying why, and told you not to do it again. That should be enough.
"I know several forum posters who seem to take WoW too seriously" is an example of contributing without shaming because I could be talking about any number of posters on any number of forums. I don't really have any specific on-topic examples because I tend to forget them within a day or two.
Well, he didn't actually remove the "identifiable reference". And what's wrong with "shaming"? Shouldn't actions have consequences? And shouldn't our reputations increase when we do good things and decrease when we do bad things? How do we know someone has done something bad, against the community, unless it becomes public? Do you want not ever know if someone is a jerk, ninja, or generally fail player?
