Okay....some one is taking the Kool Aid.....The Scanners do not show Naked people; they show an x-rayed image of a person, so your seeing organs and the interior of the body, with any metal/foregin objects on your person shown as blotches against the organic. It's the exact same thing as an X-Ray scanner in a hospitol, not a pair of novelty X-Ray glasses that removes clothes. If you are thinking that people walking behind the scanner means that everyone can see you in your birthday suit well.....yeah, I have no comments about that.
Actually you're completely wrong, which explains a lot. These scanners show through clothes, not skin.
Here's a picture. And
another.
And another.
This is a good example of something you could have investigated quicker than the time it took you to write your incorrect assertions.
I'd suggest looking at the images; I admit I was wrong about it being a standard X-ray scan, but you can't make out full details of the body itself. It's also a one tone skin, with no real features added into it; no worse then something you can already find out there if people who are trying to say that the TSA agents will spank to the naked images. Beyond that though, the original thing still fits: You don't want the pat down, walk through the scanner, problem solved about people touching you.
I agree, we have been getting shafted. But forgive me though if I'm mistaken, are you saying that Americans should just roll over every time the feds want to impose more and more restrictions? We don't have the option of saying enough is enough?Of course; but you'd think that enough is enough when the government put through a law that allows any law enforcement agent to break into your home without a warrant, arrest you, and drag you off with due process was the original time to say something.
I'm not particularly trying to go into conspiracy theory mode here, but these "searches" have never been so invasive. I don't think the argument is that we are being patted down but how in depth it is, and how people are being treated such as the fella left in piss after being through the "enhanced patdowns." And about the pedophile remark, what about it is not correct? Is that not what child molesters tell their victims? I mean, recently a TSA employee kidnapped and raped a womanin Atlanta, near where I live. Who's to say that a pedophile wouldn't just LOVE to say that to a kid, and give that person the boost in confidence to go out and commit such a crime?
"
You try to make it as best you can for that child to come through. If you can come up with some kind of a game to play with a child, it makes it a lot easier"
A regional security director said that. Do you think someone in such a position should make such a remark?
Edit: Grammar change.
For the rape comment, not sure what that has to do with the over all topic, unless your implying that all of the security people are like that, same with your remark about the pedophile, especially the 'boost in confidence' comment....
As for the children; hate to say it, but that's a standard technique from any law enforcement; to make the child at ease and do their job, whether it's a cop, a security guard at the mall, or a TSA agent, they are all doing the job; yes, there are some sadistic bastards out there that will enjoy it, but hopefully they get the boots before too long.
