Did ANYONE actually think they were gonna be online playing at 12:01? If you did, you are (were) an idiot. And furthermore, you could not, or should not expect Blizz to be able to much of anything about the issues. There is only so much info that can be pushed or pulled through the pipe, so to speak. And only so much processing power within the servers. Why should or would Blizz build the system to handle any "worst case" scenario like an xpac launch, and then have all that bandwidth and processing power sit wasted for 99% of the rest of the time? If the did, your sub would likely be twice as much a month as it is, for no real reason. Im sure the system is designed to handle a calculated "normal" load, with a little extra wiggle room, but not to handle nearly every subscriber loggin in at the exact same time.
Be happy that you are playing before all of the guys that are standing in line, likely freezing their butts off. And for those that were whining about a 30 minute wait to get logged in, I highly doubt that you could have purchased a hard copy, got it installed and patched, and been logged in any quicker.
