You take the talent tree you want and ill stick to what is expected by my raid and myself.
Next time ill tell my tank to drop a bit of survavibility for a bit of dps, to make up for my loss, and ask my healers to heal the tank more, since ill be helping them out.
Might also stop learning tactics, because i can throw in the "but im helping the healers" comment.
Or perhaps ill do the maximum dps i can, ensure a faster kill (which actually in turn also helps the healers) and fully understand the tactics.
Im pretty sure healers should be able to heal the unpreventable damage, since they are expected to heal afterall.
Also maybe we should start taking deadened nerves, since afterall it is a whooping 10% dmg reduction.

Dont get me wrong, clearly.
I understand your point of view, my tone has little to do with it.
I just dont agree.
4% loss of hit for a heal that is situational and which doesnt even ensure your survivability, is just not something i would do.

All I'm saying is that sacrificing 4% hit (maybe 100 DPS?) may be worthwhile for survival in certain cases. Not in an optimal raiding situation, but where you have to deal with forces beyond your control.
I understand your argument that you need to do more DPS on harder fights, but what about fights that aren't limited by an enrage timer and are instead limited by the fact that people die off too quickly?
PuGing is a major part of many players' experiences, and PuGs can be truly terrible.
Uh..
1) 4% hit is worth more than 100 dps if you aren't hit capped for poison.
2) This is about raiding, you don't PUG raids unless you're suicidal.
For the sake of arguement, would the points in Recuperate be better for Heroics? I still doubt it, as the only times you should be taking damage are:
1) Tank is dead.
2) AoE
3) Ground effects.
4) Add spawns.
1 means you're dead anyway. Evasion all you want, vanish out or something, but you aren't gonna be kept alive by recup unless boss is sub 5%. 2 means you should be getting AoE heals or need to learn to use CloS better. 3 means you're dumb and deserve the death. 4 means WHY DON'T YOU HAVE ToTT GLYPHED?

I love that not only are the "herp derp I can healz!" people greatly undervaluing 4% Hit, but they're also ignoring the fact that Recup isn't free. You just lost an Envenom to put it up. Healers have heals for a reason. Use Feint, use cloak, deal damage.

Or roll sub PvE on mobility fights and don't waste GCDs on either of those.
You'd probably do better damage just DPSing as Mut and dying to the AE you didn't feint.
Sub is crap.
