Oh a challenge. Alright. I'll resume where I left off and see if you missed anything else
:)
.
You still have a dash in 'coefficient'.
"Haste*0.01" -> "Haste * 0.01"
Gah. I'm not doing this now. Will come back later.
EDIT
: Okay, two more. Don't forget
Ancient Hysteria
.
I think the spirit regen formula is...
BASE_REGEN = 0.003345
Regen(SPI,INT,LEVEL) = (0.001 + SPI * sqrt(INT) * BASE_REGEN) * 5
...at least, that's what
http://www.wowpedia.org/Mana_regeneration
says it is.

Hmm, I got my formula from EJ. Or maybe MMO. I'm not quite sure. I'll have to cross-reference.

Yeah, I'm curious myself. However the inclusion of a base regen rate makes sense to me. How else would the formula explain that, at level 10, when I go OOC, my mana almost immediately fills up?
EDIT
: Got some info on those spell buff links. You can do it like this...
...which makes
. So you can use that for the "Triggers Chakra: Serenity" things.

Something I noticed, which may or may not be worth mentioning since this guide is supposed to be aimed at beginner holy priests. When you get to the point that you're doing hard mode raid content, Blessed Resilience really doesn't deserve the hate that you're giving it here. On fights with heavy aoe damage (read: almost everything) the buff usually has a very high uptime. I just looked at the logs for the last night my guild was working on Heroic ODS, and I had a 43.6% uptime. That's a significant amount of time that I'm taking increased heals from all sources, in a situation where I am constantly taking damage. Survivability is key in higher end raiding, and this talent can help a lot.
As far as what to drop to take it, I got rid of Tome of Light. HW:Sanc can be a HPS increase in the right situation, but it's pretty horrible HPM, and I just don't find myself using it enough to blow two talent points on reducing the cooldown.
It's definitely not a good idea for someone who strictly does 5-mans. May or may not be useful for someone doing normal raids. Personally, I love it for heroic raids. YMMV.

Did this lose its Sticky status?

So you will only be skipping 6 points in the entire tree, and 2 of these are almost certain to be in Blessed Resilience. The 4 other points you miss are totally up to you, it really depends on your playstyle, preferences, group composition, and what role you are actually filling.
Disagree. I have BR in my PvE hardmode spec for holy. It is amazing. 30% increased healing is fantastic. Desperate prayer is also exceptional.

Okay. I will re-word it soon. Put that down to the fact that I haven't actually experienced any of the content. I'm sure there are situations where you're getting hit hard enough that it becomes one of the best HPS and HPM talents around.
Still got a few tweaks I want to make, but I'm somewhat lazy. They will get done soon.

Its brilliant when used with a Health Stone. It bumps you up to near enough 60% - 70%. well worth it even when your farming the content. As you get more gear you can pull points out of darkness and put them elsewhere. it really does open up options.

Makes sense.
Since you play and I don't, would you be able to tell me if DP can crit in its current incarnation? I don't see why it wouldn't, it's just the whole "30% of total health" thing that throws me - as it would be making a mockery of its own tooltip if it was to crit.

it cannot crit. but is increased by bonus effects

Thanks, although it's not 100% complete (a good guide never is, I guess).

Okay, I just calculated this in game so we can put this to bed. You can verify the formula yourself by running this script...
(If you are wearing anything that modifies your maximum mana, e.g. a meta gem, you should deactivate or unequip it first.)
/run local m,i,s,mm=UnitPowerMax("player",0),UnitStat("player",4),UnitStat("player",5),math.min local mfi=mm(20,i)+15*(i-mm(20,i)) local r=((m-mfi)*0.05)+(5*(0.001+(s*math.sqrt(i)*0.003345))) print(string.format("regen=%.4f",r))
The output of that should be
regen=<number>
and
<number>
should match what you see on your character sheet. It does for me.
The script derives everything. The only things assumed by the script are...
The first 20 intellect grant 1 Mana. The following points of intellect grant 15 Mana each.
Base Mana regeneration is 5% of your base Mana every 5 seconds.
The constants 5, 0.001 and the base regen coefficient for level 85, 0.003345.
The rest uses API calls to get the information from your character. I'll expand it so it's easier to read...
local BASE_REGEN_COEFFICIENT_85 = 0.003345
local POWER_TYPE_MANA = 0
local STAT_TYPE_INTELLECT = 4
local STAT_TYPE_SPIRIT = 5
local maxMana = UnitPowerMax("player", POWER_TYPE_MANA)
local intellect = UnitStat("player", STAT_TYPE_INTELLECT)
local spirit = UnitStat("player", STAT_TYPE_SPIRIT)
-- the first 20 intellect grant 1 mana, the rest grant 15 mana
local manaFromIntellect = math.min(20, intellect) + 15 * (intellect - math.min(20, intellect)
-- base mana is your max mana minus the mana granted to you by intellect
local baseMana = maxMana - manaFromIntellect
-- base regen is 5% of your base mana per five seconds
local baseRegen = baseMana * 0.05
-- regen from spirit is (0.001 + SPI * sqrt(INT) * BASE_REGEN_COEFFICIENT) * 5
local spiritRegen = (0.001 + spirit + math.sqrt(intellect) * BASE_REGEN_COEFFICIENT_85) * 5
-- total regen is a combination of your regen from spirit and your base regen
local regen = baseRegen + spiritRegen
So, you would be completely accurate if you stated the formula for spirit-based regeneration for a level 85 Priest to be...
SPIRIT_REGEN = ((0.001 + SPIRIT * sqrt(INTELLECT) * 0.003345) * 5)
...and the formula for base regeneration to be...
BASE_REGEN = 0.05 * (MAX_MANA - (20 + 15 * (INTELLECT - 20)))
...and the formula for out-of-combat regeneration to be...
OUT_OF_COMBAT_REGEN = BASE_REGEN + SPIRIT_REGEN
For in-combat regeneration, by default we get zero of our Spirit-based regeneration in combat. We only get our BASE_REGEN. As Terry said,
+
= 80% of our Spirit-based regeneration that gets through in combat. So...
IN_COMBAT_REGEN = BASE_REGEN + (0.8 * SPIRIT_REGEN)
...would be the final formula for in-combat regeneration.
(Ew, math. I need to wash my eyes.)

I'm sure one is just reduced. I would much rather see the full, un-reduced forumula than have all the constants collapsed. It's a lot easier to understand.
EDIT
: The only exception I made is to remove the
min(20, intellect)
portion because nobody reading this will have less than 20 intellect.

Just wondering if you had considered including lesser options for enchants due to the still rare and expensive nature of Maelstrom Crystals?
