The issue with feral druids

Even right now a Spriests if played well will blow up a feral. As do well played hunters, locks, and DK's.
If the PTR goes live...Ferals will be an easy kill for just about everyone. (and I will finish leveling the mage while gearing up my Shaman... the druid will go back to PvE only toon). /sad panda(bear).
If the skill of the spriest is way greater than the skill of the feral, yea they will win. But usually no. It takes the priest a lot more work to beat a feral then it does the other way around. You had too much mobility for the damage you put out. Nerf was needed.

Prot need nerf? Really? I don't necessarily disagree with you (I PVP as Prot and do pretty well against most specs apart from Frost Mages) I just thought the current received wisdom was that Prot was a weak PVP spec.
Anyone else have troubles with Prot?

Hunters and Rogues I have an easier time with, sure (although there are times I've been owned by good examples of both, specially in arena) but it's very, very rare for me to see another Prot Pally in PVP these days - I figured I was either way ahead of the curve or way behind it.
I dunno, I've always found it to be a perfectly viable spec in terms of *fun* - although I appreciate it's not gonna feature in top-end arena teams in its current state - but it's just unusual to hear anyone even talking about it in relation to pvp...
(cue world's smallest violin playing for all the pvp prot pallies...)

LoL...I get it, you have never played a feral druid and do not understand how they work. Let me 'try' to help you understand.
A 'shifting' druid does ZERO damage. Just so there is no confusion here let me say it again. If a druid shifts he can not do any damage. Why....because our 'powershift" triggers GCD.
Right now if you root or snare a feral and he shifts he gives up his 'turn' to get out of it (just like a healer cleansing). In the case fighting lets say a frost mage...a feral may have to shift (give up his turn) many times before he touches the mage once. There is a choice that must be made...shift out and do 0 dps, or stay rooted and continue to attack (if your target is still in range).
So...just to recap...druid 'mobility' come at the cost of giving up DPS. Now if a druid could do damage AND shift, or if a feral druid could do damage while rooted it would be a different story, but that is just not the case.
Lets face it....it isn't like feral druids are 'ripping it up' in PvP right now. Feral representation is low even before any changes have been made and will be all but non-existent if these changes are pushed through.
Or to put it another way...how is nerfing a class that has average / below average representation in PvP creating balance? Want to balance PvP how about nerfing the classes that are over represented (Mages, DK, etc). and buffing up classes that are not represented (like Hunters...and Hunters need some MAJOR lovin) and leaving the 'average' classes (like Feral Druids) alone.
Who is better represented in PvP right now...DK, Mage or a Feral Druid? What class is getting nerfed? What classes are getting buffed?
PvP is being balanced by this....RIGHT! If you believe that I have some ocean front property for sale in Kansas City...pst to find out how you can get some for pennies on the dollar.
Feral representation this season has not been bad. Most druids switched to feral because it was the most arena viable spec. You had issues with frost mages, so did everyone else. I think they need nerfed as well. You still faired better against them than others because of your mobility. Berserk out of fears, shift out of slows. A lot of classes lack mobility and you had far too much of it for those classes to have a chance. And I have played on a feral before. Swifting did not take that long.
And I guess you didn't get the memo the human racial is going back to 2 minutes. All the alliance racials are getting buffed.
All your post amounts to is, "Don't nerf me, bro"

How is that relevant against a Priest? For all the snares he puts out? ("all the snares" meaning Mind Flay, which requires the priest TO STAY STILL, completelly eliminating the purpose of a snare keeping the distance in the first place)
Berserk'ing out of fears is nice but if you think 15 seconds of fear immunity on a 3 minute cooldown is OP I wonder what you thoughts are on Warriors Berserker Rage (breaks fear, 10 second duration, 30 second cool-down). Ya I know Berserker Rage is not a 'talent' let alone a 31 point talent, and I know that there are only 2 other classes that has a 31 point wiped out by a cc (Rogue Shadow Dance <1 mintue cool down>, Lock Haunt <8 sec cooldown> / Chaos Bolt <12 sec cooldown>) but you are right about Berserk and 6+ years of "powershifting" is just to OP.
Context. It helps. 31 Talent Pointers are just that - 31 talent pointers. They're part of an entire tree in an entire class. Don't compare single abilities like that. If Blizz gave priests a spammable instant, mid-powerful heal like Holy Shock, even though it's not that powerful, trust me - it would be worth a 31talent slot. By a long shot. Filling in the exact place where Priests lack would possibly, if the heal was just like Holy Shock, make Priests overpowered. Don't come comparing abilities like that, you'll end up in no conclusion.
