PvP is still bad. The auto-shot is a nice step, but it doesn't help our Focus Regen. or Deadzone. For Arena we'll still be poorly represented.
I agree that a nerf was needed, but what was originally proposed was asinine.
Even still, the current BA change may end up being too much considering our trap might still end up being a better choice. Pretty shoddy 31 pt. talent.

My opinion? Give Survival Camouflage as the 31 pt talent, give it back the dps bonus, and allow it to be used in combat. Any damage dealt will break the effect.
But then we would need a shoddy Level 85 ability to replace it with.

Nowt wrong with the current trap launcher, except that you cannot macro your traps to it in a simple, 1-click, manner.
It's just an overall stupidly obnoxious ability that doesn't need to be, especially compared to pretty much every other classes' CC. It's just plain unneeded.

Well.. a good Hunter can potentially CC up to 3 mobs at a time, no problem. However, that actually working out, along with assuming nobody in the group is retarded.. well..

I underlined the flaw in your statement.
But seriously, exactly what you said. I often end up having to CC 2-3 mobs in heroics, at least when the CC in said groups are lacking or non-existent. It's actually pretty fun and nice having more responsibility than facerolling my pewpew buttanz.

The two biggest issues with hunters at the moment are:
Trap Launcher
Serpent Spread
And little changes like the ones attempted in the latest patches just will not make it work well.
These two abilities need some deep shaping, of course, as vastly debated here, there are many ways they could do it, but in my point of view, the ones that will work are these:
One click Trap Launcher: Just make all traps be launched.
Damage cap for 10 targets in Serpent Spread. Just like any AoE attack.
Yes. I know what you are thinking: "OMG, they will spent years reprogramming that...".
What can I say, it's broken, so fix it for good. Stop messing all the stuff that is fine and working because of the broken ones.

How I was thinking Trap Launcher would work better would be to have it's interface similar to the 'call pet' interface and the shamans totem interface. Basically, you select a trap from a list, and that button will activate trap launcher and the selected trap at the same time, allowing you to point it wherever you like. Of course, you'd also have to be able to put this ability on your action bar multiple times, with each Trap chosen for each keybind.
It doesn't actually seem like that much programming.
This. About the programming, it's THEIR game. They must know how hard is to program it...

I would still like the option of dropping a trap at my feet without having to use the launcher and aim though.
