I got Aeonaxx 7/15/11 on Lightning's Blade (character Carcuss) @ 7:30 server time, NPC_Scanner time was 19:21:57 an Coords are @ this Loc.
50.12. 57.50
not sure if this helps but posted all info i knew anyways. Technically near the SW spawn point but its off cause it was just above The Temple of Earth door a little ways back from it.Hope this helps people some and wish you all good luck on getting Aeonaxx. If i can think of anything to add i will post questions to if needed incase i missed something needed. Also side note i just got him without really camping i just went there to sit while waiting to get into a heroic dungeon so was wasting time more or less an got lucky.
P.S i do have 3 photos i put on photobucket but it removes the link casue im a new poster so if anyone wants to see the pics let me know how to get you the link an i will ok thanks.
P.S.S Well i seperated the link some lol, so if you can put it together right you can copy the link to see the PICS i hope.

Well I've been camping for about 12-16 hours a day for the last week. A week ago I decided to check and got a Blood Seeker spawn at the QB. Nothing since then.
The camp goes on....

Aeonaxx spotted an mounted at 7:17 AM EST on Mok'Nathal - EU
LvL 85 Warlock 360 ilvl. And i couldn't attack!
It kept saying "Your facing the wrong way"
I ended up getting killed by the Whelps and having aeonaxx disappear at 20k HP. Thats one cast of Soul Fire. But i couldnt attack!
I had to use Bane of Doom, Curse of Elements and Corruption the entire fight. And there is nothing blizz can do to refund my week of camping.
This needs to be fixed. NOW

I was on a alternate account, leveling a character when my _NPCScan went off, it was Aeonaxx!
I logged onto my main character and jumped into Deepholm. I noticed a tauren flying to the same place where I last spotted Aeonaxx. Unfortunately for him, he had a 150% flying mount, and I had 310%, eventually I caught up, passed him, and got on Aeonaxx at least 5 seconds before him. I kind of felt bad for "stealing" it from him but then, I found the mount way before him.
The next day I went into Uldum, and I found a Mysterious Camel Figurine: props to _NPCScan.

Time: 1:58AM (local time, so probably about 2:58AM server time)
Location: Pillar to the right of the Stonecore entrance, at the Stonecore height, so basically west of the Temple of Earth.
Logged on to start camping and spawned in front of me, surprisingly I didn't see hardly anyone about. Very easy fight, downed in about 2mins as a ret pala. Mount is awesome, the long camping pays off. I didn't see any other of the rare mobs all the times I previously camped.

I've spent the last several days camping (I have lost track of how many but at least 5). I spend at least 8-12 hours a day in this location and pretty much never leave, leave it running with sound turned up, no dice. I haven't even seen the bat. Been moving to the various spawn locations, nothing so far.
Starting to lose sanity.

Aeonaxx spawned last Friday (August 5) at 3pm. He spawned right beside me up at the top of the Stone core instance, but spawned right as a druid was flying by. Needless to say he mounted him in a span of a second diminishing any chance of anyone getting to him. I barely had time to react it happened so fast. So, you can imagine how glum I was. To top it off, he was only level 83 and later found out was an alt he never plays. Why would you jump on him if you never play that character? It doesn't make sense. You're just wasting it. It just goes to show you the power of this rare spawn.
So, that fueled me and I was determined to keep at it. Low and behold almost a week later at 6pm (August 11-a span of 6 days) he popped up. I was camping the same spot right by the Stonecore instance and he spawned behind me very close to the ground. (in between the 2 white crystals) Flew at him and mounted him. The fight was very fast as I killed him in less than a minute. During this time only 2 whelps showed up.
Good luck to all and be patient. Your time will come.

Sorry but even if it was an alt - fair is fair. Who is to say that he couldn't change up and make that his main?

I've been hunting this mob for arround 192h till now.
Camping spawns for straight 12h/day, everyday on Archimonde. Found 4 bats so far.
No Aeonaxx yet.
And the hunt goes on...

NPC scan went off approx 4:45 am on u zul'jin was right overhead while mining sadly was a alt but i am a happy camper all the same :)

Gutspillr - level 82 Rogue - Horde side
This is the third time I have camped and successfully killed Aeonaxx. The first time was on my hunter, Devastator, (see pg. 1 of this thread) back in January. The second time was on my pally, Hawtee, and I believe I got that one in April. This time I got it on my level 82 Goblin rogue, Gutspillr. I have also successfully camped and killed the Time-Lost Proto Drake on these same 3 characters.
The first 2 Aeonaxx spawns I caught were both NW of the temple. This last time, I caught him circling up from the Southern most spawn area. 1st spawn's time was a Friday at 1:28pm. 2nd spawn was a Friday at 9:28pm. 3rd spawn was a Wednesday at approximately 6:55pm. I doubt that info will actually help but I will put it out there so you campers have somthing new to read, lol.
When I started camping for Aeonaxx on this little rogue, I really didn't have a whole lot of confidence that I would be able to pull it off on a lev 82 but I wanted a good challenge so I went for it. Have only done a few quests in Deepholm. Camped for several nights. Came home from work today and sat out there for about an hour. I like to sit for 5 min in my favorite spot, then I do a pat around the temple. It was when I did one of these pats that NPCScan screamed and I saw the now familiar stone drake spiraling up from that Southern-most spawn area.
I flew to him looking through tunnel vision, everything else just ceases to matter.... Jumped on and started applying poisons to my weapons. As he started flying off with me I started DPS'ing him. We flew for probably 15 seconds before I saw a whelp. When it attacked, I started up my recuperate ability and completely ignored the whelp. No problems so far. After awhile of DPS'ing Aeonaxx my health was still at 50k (full), but another whelp popped up and began attacking me. I watched my healthbar intently and it went down and up and down, but I was recuperating health ALMOST as quick as the 2 whelps were taking it so I kept ignoring them and finished off Aeonaxx with like 34k health left.
So, if you are a decent player and don't slip up.... You can easily defeat Aeonaxx at a level as low as 82.
If you are still looking for Aeonaxx, I wish you the best of luck. Finding this guy has been one of the biggest thrills of this game and that's the only reason I'd ever be crazy enough to do it 3 times. As soon as you spot him, you'll know what I mean.

I managed to get mine after about 6 hours of camping. Just sitting at a spawn point and patrolling every now and then whilst watching a movie.
I saw him at approx 52,63 and he was about stonecore height off the ground. He spawned at 2:28am which was exactly 4 hours after a server restart.
His model is rather large, I saw him before Npc scan went off (I had view distance set to ultra). Once mounted on him as a druid I was able to turn into cat form without any troubles and dps the back of his neck without having to turn around to the tail. The adds spawn very slowly and i just completely ignored them. When he died there was 2 adds up which despawned i got a parachute and landed saftely to claim my mount :)
I hope any information i was able to provide helped other people in their hunt :) Good luck.

Aeonaxx spawned today (2011-08-28) at 07:02 on Draenor (EU) and I failed to get him.
I was sleeping, when he spawned and had my headphones near my bed with volume set to the max so I would wake up if NPCscan will go off and I did. But when I got to my PC I couldn't see him. A human warlock was already killing it. What a lucky day I said to myself. After that, at 09:52 Jadefang spawned and of course I didn't get him either. What a lucky day I said to myself... FML.
