Any other casual players considering quitting?

I'm a casual player and my biggest complaint isn't about how hard the game is. I like the cata content. My complaint is about the professions. The endlees grind of herbs to make 1 measly flask. the endless ore grinds to be disappointed when you start smelting and realize you haven't enough mats to make the hardened bars or truegold. It's just an endless grind fest for professions now.

I'm a casual player and I don't see myself quitting this game any time soon. Sure, I'm not progressing as fast as the hardcore players, but then again, I'm not married to this game. I don't have to be on at certain times every night. I don't have to tell anyone why I wasn't on at a designated raid time, and I have fun in a guild with other people just like me.
I have never killed the Lich King. I'm sure I could get a group now and do it, but it doesn't matter to me. I've been in a few heroics, successfully completed 2 of them, had fun in all them with guildies. If you aren't having fun as a casual player, then maybe you really aren't a casual player.

Folks whining about queue times seem to have a very selective memory. In BC you could spend 2 hours spamming trade trying to get a group for a heroic as a dps, and if you were a class without any cc you could forget ever getting in a pug for MGT heroic.
As to the rep grind, buy a blooming tabard and press the random dungeon button. In BC you had to grind rep with a faction just to get the keys to do their respective heroics, even then some dungeons needed a specific key.
You forgot to mention how on some raids "Cough *Kara* Cough" you had to be ATTUNED just to get in.

I also see Cata as more of a patch as opposed to an expansion. Same content with a few new npc questgivers thrown in. GW2 FTW!

....Except for the 5(8) new zones, the 10 new instances, the new Raids, and all the rest....

Then you must have crazy high standards. Seriously, you forget that Cataclysm completely redid every zone on Azeroth
discounting Northrend of course
.
Every. Zone.
And then they released 8 new zones.
And several new dungeons.
And new raids.

Been playing since vanilla but maybe it's time to to call it. I feel like Cataclysm is the death knell of the "casual player". Blizz did a great job in making most content available to the casual in the previous xpacs.

I'm tired of nerfs and constant class mechanic changes.
The most frustrating thing about Blizz, they never seem to make small incremental changes to fix problems, balance classes etc.
I am confused- are you upset because they keep changing your class to try and balance it, or because they never make class changes to try and balance them. Please pick one side or the other.

well I feel that the biggest problem right now is the communication.
#$$%^ its hard as a tank to mark cc and then SPEND 3 days (ok I exagerate) to get the dps to do it.
go
you mean now?
yes
ok what about square
NO SHEEP MOON
ok now?
in a good guild group its moon and rogue circle...DONE
hey wait where is bob
coffee
ok
lets go
I think that buzzard with the healing mana and cc went way far in trying to kill LFD

I don't think casuals are considering quitting anytime soon. Heck, most people seems to be enjoying the game tremensely.
The only people I see wanting to quit the game came in with Wrath when Blizzard was handing epic's out like candy. Granted it was the end of the xpac but still, that's a bad habit to get your players into because now we have people who need to be trained out of that mindset, which I'm all for since I'm used to Cata now having played during Vanilla and TBC when Heroics were hard as hell and fun as all get out.
So yeah, only people I see quitting are those who can't face-roll 6k dps, get full purples and /flex.
I find it tremensely amusing that your name is Noam and you used the word tremensely. I can only assume you've done this on purpose, but that may be due to my reading too many books on language recently.
