"You do not think that taking the wounded to Light's Hope, Commander Skullbreaker? My men are in no shape of fighting. These men will die before any aid that can save their lives will come. The battle has been won, bittersweetly, we must fall back. Lord Maxwell needs my reports," Valiant tried to explain.
He had no intention on carrying on this pointless battle. As much as he hated it, he did not want to kill anymore undead. He could not risk anymore of his men to this...fool of an orc.

"By Elune, where the fel is that damned grease monkey!" Sharith demanded the empty space that was the smog filled sky as she moved silently along the treetops. Blast it, why did this have to happen to her? She finally finds someone with intimate knowledge of the scourge and was about to escape the hell that was the plaguelands when he goes missing. It was infuriating!

"Oh dear. Where am I?" Varyn asked himself anxiously, looking around at the shimmering surroundings that was the mirror world he crossed into with his invisibility spell. The bluish tint and wavy manner the surroundings appeared made it difficult to see exactly where he was.
He took another step after a moment of contemplation, stepping on a dry twig with a loud snapping sound. "Uh oh."

"We're being pursued," Aruna muttered.
"I can't run anymore, healing potion or not my leg is going to give way," Caden replied, finally tripping and letting the gnome go. She rolled on the ground before finally halting and dusting herself off as Caden leaned against the tree.
Aruna let out a melancholy sigh, "I'm a diplomat... sort of. Let's see what I can do."

Marrow the Ghoul, Bicep the Shadow Priest, Femur the Zombie, and Articular the Skeletal Mage
Eastern Plaguelands
The lackluster team of four undead carried Alexandos' body carefully. Marrow, their self-proclaimed leader, led the group along as the other three carried the body. He was a short, heavy set ghoul who had been raised from combining the bodies of a Dwarf and Human. Blue chainmail hung loose on one arm, and gripped tightly on the other, larger one. His smaller arm had an almost perfect hand, while the other ended in a grossly deformed one with claws for fingers.
Bicep and Articular were skeletal casters. Bicep was the taller of the two, a rotting black robe covered him. He draped to the ground and past his hands, leaving his skull as the only bones exposed. Articular had no such covering; his bones fully exposed.
Femur had been a tall man in life, his skin now had a sickly green hue to it. His rotting cotton outfit still clung to him.
Suddenly, Bicep spoke up, "Um... was his arm broken when we got him?"
Marrow stopped dead in his tracks. "What? Oh no, oh no!" He said, pacing back and forth after seeing the broken arm. "The barons gonna kill us dead."
"Did you hear that?" Articular asked, "I hear growling... like-like dogs."
"Shut up! What if its the Baron? I bet he knows we broke the body. And now he's gonna kill us!" Marrow's fear grew to panic.
"I've got it! I'll fix him!" Bicep suddenly shouted and they set the body down. He grabbed Alex's right arm and carefully allowed shadow magics to seep through it. They mended and healed the bones and sealed the wounds.
Marrow let out a sigh of relief. "Good!" He shouted. "Let's go."
The undead group lifted the body once again and continued moving.

Does that mean I'm allowed to try something? Well, can't use magic with those wards so...
Varyn thought with shrug before dropping the invisibility along with a smoke bomb for good measure, flattening himself on the ground as soon as the bombs exploded.

The mad man chuckled a little as fire was directed his way, picking up a corpse of a crusader, he used it as a shield to defend against the spells. He was near James when more smoke erupted around them, covering James as well. James swore a little when the smoke erupted around him, but felt a hand on his shoulder, "Time to leave my mercenary friend....the battle here is lost..." James' eyes widened when he recognized the voice, the alchemist that had been hired at the same time as he, Koren something or another.
Melnok Arcanablade
Location: Eastern Plaguelands
The lich nodded, "Good...." He pointed his staff over to the undead mage under his command, "Accompany Melnok, he already has his orders...." With that the lich turned back around to continue his work.
Melnok nodded, "Come now Vivenor, we might be able to find your companions that we so kind to leave you to us..."

Alaric growled in frustration and hurled a death coil in the middle of the smoke - he would either hit James or that mage, or heal one of his soldiers.
Meanwhile, his skeletal mages proceeded to shut down the remaining cannons, leaving all but one of them silent. The Baron decided he would personally disembowel the cannoneer if James managed to flee.

Varyn sighed at the prodding and slowly stood, his hands above his head in a gesture of surrender. "I'm Varyn, maintenance and arcane liaison for the former Alliance eighth infantry division." Varyn told the tracker carefully and as slowly as he dared.

Vivenor nodded, "Of course. We'll... help them find their way to the Scourge."
The dark ranger pulled her bow from behind her cloak and adjusted the quiver from the haphazard position it was in before death, before glancing back at the undead mage, "Whenever you are ready, Melnok."
Caden glanced up at all the strangers and groaned, smacking his head against the tree.
Aruna sighed, holding up a finger to the two humans and their dogs before she addressed the Argent Rider, "Stay your weapon, sir, you have no need to be drawing it.
"My name is Aruna Twinspark, behind me is a man by the name of Caden Sparrow. We were sent by the Argent forces in the Western Plaguelands to gain a second foothold here. At the time, there were twenty-four of us... as you can see, there's considerably less. We are enroute to Light's Hope due to Caden being injured and... as you can see, I'm not quite outfitted for combat."

To hell with that orc! He is the most blind Dawn members I have seen in my entire life! Does he not know where he is? The Eastern Plaguelands? The backwash of the Scourge? He treats these like they are the traitor prince’s elite guard or something.
“Soldiers of the Dawn of my command, heed my call! We leave this battle for our brothers to finish! Take the wounded, we must get to Light’s Hope. We must finish our mission for Lord Maxwell. Less the Dawn and Lordaeron falls to the Crusade!” Valiant rallied his Scarlets who pretended to be Dawn. With that, Valiant began taking his men and head east.
Let the orc do whatever he pleases, I am not going to let this happen.

"No." Came the retort from seemingly several directions. Varyn turned back to his escort and shrugged helplessly.

There were no Argent Dawn around when that fight started and we went running. Two people against a legion of Scourge, I'll take my chances fleeing for my life with an injured leg, thank you very much."
"Caden, please," Aruna hushed him. "Let's be on our way."

Caden nodded, "Sorry for the shouting... I'm an assassin, I work when the odds are favorable. I'm one of the people who'll die when they feel like it," he laughed hoarsely. "Now... let's work on getting out of this section of hell, shall we?"

"Dwarf! I ask nicely you step aside now or the Dawn or you shall be court marshalled! I apologize but there are powers beyond you are your commanders that I am part of. Do you want Lordaeron and the Daw to fall? Let us just say that the Crusade is plotting and I need to report the grave news A.S.A.P." Valiant paused to let all of this settle in the dwarve's head. "And your forces are more than capable to fight against these weak scourge. Use the damn light!" Valiant roared.
And now dwarves, lovely.
