: A Secluded Camp in the Eastern Plaguelands
Aruna recoiled back, her armor not completely giving way under the magical assault, instead just becoming flimsy and brittle. She muttered and brought her shield up to his head after charging back at the undead.
Caden snapped his head to the side as the ghoul's claws ripped into his mask and his cheek. He slashed one blade down, attempting to sever neck from spine.
Vivenor cried and thrashed, the high elf whimpering nonsense.

Location: South of Andorhol, Western Plaguelands
Funden sighed and stretched, and right in the middle of a particularly good yawn, an Argent Dawn messenger rode up. "What do ye want?" asked Funden, annoyed.
The messenger trotted over to Funden and bent down, keeping his voice low. 'We've just received word from Southshore. The Worgen are preparing to attack."
Funden grinned. "That means that as soon as they're dealt with, we can start an offensive against Andorhol, correct?"
The messenger nodded. "If they win, they'll be sending soldiers to reinforce us. The Worgen will be too much of an obstacle for the Scourge to get through to Southshore, but the Worgen will be too weak to launch a full out attack against us without leaving their northern front dangerously open."
"Excellent. Anythin' else?" The messenger shook his head, and rode off. "Ye hear tha' boys? We'll be headin' to Andorhol soon.":

"So you are a skeletal mage, then? Do you have any specialisation, or favored spells, Scourflesh?" Alaric asked, both to kill time while they rode and to decide where to place the construct in the upcoming battle.

Melnok Arcanablade
Location: Eastern Plaguelands
Melnok blocked the shield with his sword again, "Just give up, you might live longer..." He brought his other hand around, firing another blast of fire at the gnome's chest.
The first ghoul's neck snapped, killing the undead. The other ghoul leaped at the assassin from behind, trying to bite his leg and rip it from his body.
The ghouls didn't care for the thrashing elf, continuing to carry her away from the fight. Shadowthorn arrived with more ghouls, sending more of them to swarm Caden, while moving to assist Melnok in fighting Aruna.

Caden grunted as he felt teeth in his leg, he stabbed a blade towards the ghoul's head, hoping to cut it off of him as he glanced at the approaching ghouls, and then at Aruna.
The gnome got blasted back, striking the cliff with a wince and a light exclamation of pain. The assassin grimaced, "We've got to move out!" he searched for Viv, only to find her in a crowd of ghouls and shook his head.
We won't be able to save her now.
"Aruna, retreating is in order!" he said, reaching into his armor and procuring a smoke bomb, which he tossed into the battlefield.

"I... don't know," Scourflesh answered. "I haven't even been conscious for half-an-hour yet."

"Then we will find out soon enough."
Alaric rode into Stratholme and pointed at a random idling zombie.
"Assess the situation."
"Barthilas... Timmy... Hold living at bay... Crusader's Square... Stalemate..."
The death knight nodded.
"To me, warriors! For Lordaeron!"
Once his troops reached the barricaded gate to the Square, Dalson turned to Scourflesh.
"This is your chance to discover your abilities, Scourflesh. Blast this barricade apart. I will send the mindles ones to serve as meat shield for you and your skeletal compatriots.

Melnok frowned as the smoke hit the air,
follow them Shadowthron, but remain hidden...
The wraith silently followed it's orders, following behind the mortals as they escaped.
The ghoul's head was severed, but it's jaws locked into place.
Lifting himself up, he steadied himself on his sword, ordering the ghouls to bring the elf before him. Dragging the thrashing elf before him, he got closer, leaning forward to face the elf, "Your name elf?"
The other ghouls began to gather up the pieces of the fallen, none would be burned, all would be brought back to the corpsemasters to be put back together.

Vivenor glanced up at Melnok, her eyes tearing up and her lips mumbling out the soft reply, "V-vivenor... S-sunstryke..." she shuddered, before casting her eyes down to the ground.
Caden dragged Aruna out of the smoke, out of the sight of the Scourge, far away from the battlefield before he stopped. The warrior was battered, breathing steadily, however, as Caden ripped the ghoul's jaws out of his leg and scowled at the blood.
"We need to get cleaned up... you have bandages on you?" he asked.
"Always," Aruna muttered, shuffling for the backpack she had managed to grab.
Vivenor's gone now... two out of twenty-four.

Melnok tilted his head, "Your mission? and how many of them are there?" He moved closer, inspecting her body for any sighs of infections, there might be some potential in the woman to be a dark ranger, he would have to check with the Baron when he was done with his hunt.
Shadowthorn hovered near the two mortals, relaying the information to Melnok, the rogue was wounded by one of the ghouls, which might get infected if not properly treated.

"Camping... we were going camping," Viv muttered. "There was a lot of us... but they all died...but I can still hear them sometimes..."
Aruna passed Caden the length of bandages, who wrapped it around the wound. He passed it back to the gnome, who swaddled the burned patches of skin revealed from the smashing of her armor.
"To Light's Hope, then?" she stated and Caden nodded.
The assassin and the warrior made sure all of their possessions were in order before they began to trudge in the direction they thought Light's Hope was in.

Melnok frowned, looking back at the ghouls as they gathered up the remains of the fallen. Shadowthorn reported they were heading for the one place that he couldn't dare tread, but maybe....
The undead mage looked at Vivenor for a moment again, placing one gloved hand under her chin, he brought her gaze up to meet his, "What would you say if I told you I can make the voices go away?" He smiled slightly, "For good?"

Alaric looked down - up, actually, given the worgen's size - and chuckled, "A worgen amongst our ranks? Truely the prince's might knows no bounds. Steady your hand, brother, once the skeletal mages blast our way in, we shall spearhead the troops to victory."

Without even thinking, the barricade shattered as Scourflesh effortlessly manipulated the arcane magic surrounding it.

"Impressive," Alaric said approvingly, and raised his maul. As darknes began to twirl around its rune-covered head, he roared, "For Lordaeron! Death to the traitors!" and charged head-first onto the Scarlets, followed by a swarm of undead.
