I r a sad panda when I can't hear the achievement *dings* on Firefox 4.0b11...
I'm running AdBlock (which has been disabled on Wowhead) and NoScript (only blocking quantserve.com).
There's this special tingle I get when the achievement sound dings in WoW, it pretty much says "Duuude! You just did something and got some special stuff in return! Duuuuuuude!".
(In short: I can't hear the achievement music/jingle/dingle/dongle/whatever sound)
Are you sure you haven't disabled the sounds by accident? Check your user settings, or the icon on the achievement notification next time you get one.
Yup, got the sound effect enabled on the settings.
I procced one of the easy achievements I hadn't got ye (lazeh), giving me a few lines to check stuff.
The code for the achievement notification is below:
$().wsaNotification({caption: 'Item Comparison Explorer',rank: '1',href: '/website-achievement=63',animate: true, desc: 'Compared at least 2 items.', playsfx: true, quality: 1, persist: false});
I could run that a few times with FireBug to see if there's a problem with retrieving the sound file (
http://static.wowhead.com/sfx/wsa.ogg), headers below with HTTP status of 206 Partial Content:

There's no errors on either console (Firebug or Firefox) and from what I can tell on the headers, the sound file is only partially being retrieved by the server.

Seems that Firefox 4 is quite picky with the audio source, example below does not play, even tho it's completely valid according to HTML5 specs
<audio src="
http://static.wowhead.com/sfx/wsa.ogg" type="audio/ogg" autoplay>
</audio>
While the example below does play the file:
<embed src="
http://static.wowhead.com/sfx/wsa.ogg">I tested this by saving the
wsa.ogg on my computer, running an Apache test server and accessed a html-file with the following code that succesfully played the file:
<script type="application/javascript">
var d = document.createElement("audio");
d.setAttribute("src", "
http://127.0.0.1/wsa.ogg");
d.play();
</script>
Also, changing the examples mentioned earlier also played the file without any problems.
(I can't help it, I'm quite OCD over these things when I happen to be in the mood :3)

It seems misleading that
Early Member and
First! are Silver Achievements - while the header says that the ones in the category are "still obtainable with a little effort and time", this certainly isn't the case with these two achievements.

They can't be gold (as that would be a little unfair) but they're trying to show that those two are important.

Then they should be in Platinum, because they sure shouldn't be in Silver.
