And like I said, it's not your kill, not your loot, therefore not your skin. Do you go around handing herbers or miners nodes for them?
Wow... just wow...
Great logic there.

I don't loot much really, because I have Mining and Herbing; this alone provides me with more than I can spend atm, so why waste my time looting eh.

Why I don't loot? Because I don't have your fancypants 32-slot bags, and all of mine is already full of stuff I need. Why the heck would I want to turf out, say, a rare herb from my bag just to make space for some worthless grey stuff for
your
convenience?
My kill is mine to dispose as I see fit; if people ask me nicely, I will often try to accommodate them; demand it however, and I will intentionally not loot anything just to rub it in.

I always forget to empty my bags and I get scared I won't be able to loot something important (too lazy to delete anything).

AoE looting could help with this... /leavingbeforeIgetflamed
1. Awesome name. Brings back memories.
2. I had an idea for there to be a hunter ability that would let your pet loot the corpse and bring it back to you. That would be cool as hell.

Not your kill, not your loot, not your skin. Get over it. The number of beast kills you get in a dungeon that are yours,
personally
, should be equal to the number of herb/mineral nodes in a dungeon considering their rarity.
On a personal level, because so many skinners demand that I loot beasts for them, I make it an issue not to loot skinnable mobs, such as the spiders in Tol Barad or the lions in The Lost City of Tol'Vir, if I notice a skinner.
Well, aren't you a nice guy. I bet you rail on all those noob tanks, too.
This sort of intentional d-baggery is why the WoW community is godawful. Why do you care if a skinner comes along and skins your kill from 3 minutes ago? It's not like you were going to.

It's the 'principle' of the thing of course; if the Skinner offered to skin it, then hand over the skins to him, he would be more then happy to loot the mob....and I actually speak from experience there; back before DE'ing was made into an option on Greens and Blues, I had quite a few people tell me that I should offer up the dust and essences I had just made to either them or the rest of the group.

This is the main reason that people choose not to loot. For a 1g grey item, you need to a) find and get rid of a 50s grey item; b) hope that you're not going to replace said 1g grey item further down the track; and c) waste time doing all of the above when you could be finishing the dungeon faster.
The value of valor points and the boss loot is greater than the time wasted by looting and rejigging things in your inventory in order to loot. You lose most of the value from looting by needing to destroy things.

I do not loot very much due I am a tank. I mostly pick up a grp after the previous dies unless healer gotta mana reg or CC need to happend.
Tanks are made atm to go fast, with all go go go and the internal competion to try to break the boundary of how fast you can do it. To be honest it is kinda fun to push yourself as a tank.
I do not need the small sum of money involved in looting compared to my other ways to make it.
If you find it such a disturbance why not suggest to blizz that they could implant a system for heroics/dungeons which you can make corpse looted by clicking on it, even though it is mine kill.
You click, i get my kill gold and trash, you skin.
Easy solution.

Why would you care if the corpse is skinned or not? You're done with it, what does it matter? Have you ever even leveled skinning? I highly doubt it.
Also, if in a group, it doesn't matter who kills the mob, it's purely RNG on who gets to loot what mob. Otherwise how would healers ever get to loot anything?
I bet you're the guy who lets the door shut on the pregnant women walking in behind him. Or the person who walks right by an old lady trying to pick up everything she just dropped out of her shopping bag.
I can't stand D-bags like this.

I don't loot because clicking on bodies isn't "fun" and so I don't waste my time on it. I have like 95k gold, I don't really need more money. I'm a tank so I'm normally out front pulling the next pack, not hanging around a bunch of corpses and making the run go slower.
I don't mind greys, but for every 1g grey item I pass up, I'm also passing up that random White piece of food or drink that just clogs up my bags and doesn't get sold by my auto-grey-seller. If a green or blue drops I'm sure someone else will click on the sparkly body and I'll get a roll window, so I'm not really missing anything "important" by not looting.
So why don't I loot? I don't need the money, clicking on corpses is tedious and slows me down, and I don't like clogging up my bags with trash.

I've levelled skinning, and I'm perfectly happy skinning my own animal corpses, without needing to go ambulance chasing.
I did heroic Grim Batol today and after the group finished I went and looted back all of my items. Then I found 4 BoE 333 items, 3 were the same cloak. Sold them all on the AH in a few hours. If they looted, I would have had to roll against them.
I'm going to need to try that some day.

Level up skinning and come back to tell us you still feel the same way.
I have a maxxed skinner/lw'er, neither of those professions made me feel entitled to the fruits of other players solo labor. If I come upon a skinnable mob I didn't kill "hey cool free bonus" I come upon a mob someone didn't loot "nothing to see here, nothing to be upset over".
