your certainly suggesting something very close with your previous posts
Sterilizing is in no way equal to genocide which was far as I pushed the subject too.
Um well if everyone is sterile, it's not possible to have new children.....so yeah; that is a type of genocide.

Genocide is by definition, the killing of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.
Geno = race in Greek
Cide = killer, or the act of killing in latin
So no, that is not any form of genocide.

And you would....you'd be wiping out the entire Human race since every single person would have to be sterilized as nearly every one practices at least once instance of unsafe sex.

It doesn't matter if the sex is unsafe if they do not contract the disease or if they are having sex with another person that doesn't have an STD.
But anyone could get the disease; so might as well sterilize everyone to keep the next generation from getting it. Since even sterile people can still have sex and pass the diseases off to the non-sterile.
By the way, the term you are looking for is castration or getting people fixed since without a sex drive they won't have sex and won't pass the disease.

Yes , but my idea is less radical then that and of course there has to be some sort of population replacement. Under my idea the transmissions of STD's would face a natural decline because people generally tend to have sex with people there age. Because most of the people with the STD's wouldn't get a chance to spread it to the new generation, although some would, the rate of transmission would naturally go down. They wouldn't though; the diseases would still spread; only a very few STD's are genetic. Most are passed through sexual contact.

I don't really think that extreme of a form is necessary more thinking along the lines of a vasectomy.Again, that doesn't kill the sex drive, that just stops pregnancy, which doesn't stop the spread of the disease.

Even castration is not guaranteed to kill sex drive completely. From what I can find, the studies done show that roughly 65% of men who underwent medical or chemical castration reported a major decrease in sex drive. Those men still occasionally reported a desire to have sex.
However, even if you castrate a person, all they need do in order to 'restart' their sex drive is take testosterone replacement therapy. - and all castration is really guaranteed to do is remove your ability to ejaculate; you can still get an erection and can still engage in intercourse (meaning that you could still spread through sex those STDs that do not require ejaculation to spread).
Off-topic somewhat: I really hope the tech group isn't reading over my Internet logs; otherwise they're going to be really weirded out by what I'm looking up at work...

Why the hell is everyone focusing on sterilization? Adam, do you mean sterilize everyone or just the ones with the diseases?
The most common way of spreading the disease is sexual activity, sterilization only prevents passing it on to their offspring. The infected can still engage in sexual activity.
Castration doesn't even fully prevent the spread.

There is ofcourse a much easier way to stem this ST
I
tidal wave you know..... Use a condom.
The surest way is just to not have sex. Even a condom is not 100% foolproof.
But since abstinence is a choice that many (including myself) are not always willing to make, a condom is the next-best method.

1 in 5 Americans have an STD with HPV (or herpes) specifically affecting about 1 and 6 people.
It's also worth noting that the vast majority of the people with this won't show any symptom in their entire lifetime, while still infecting other people.
thanks for the heads up...
