Me
: The results would have been the same if not worse Snowmane.
Nightbane:
...Yes...She wills nothing but good. If she wills a path for my family it is for the best.

Snowmane:
Worse? I don't want friends trying to cheer me up. I don't want to get attached to anything. I just want to get it all over with.

Atik
Me:
Then why not end it yourself?
Phillip:
*Muffled, distant yelling*

Me:
I think your just trying to take the easy path Snowmane. You know how that goes. Not the easiest perhaps, but easy.

Koren Vile:
Well these bring me back.....one seems like the doctor in me, while another is the alchemist, but the third? I chose the third one then, let's see what the wheel of fate has in store for me.

:
If you really want to end it little worgen, I'm more then happy to help.
*grin, her eyes blazing darkly*

Me:
Oh, but you got reconned.
Anyways
The first door is somewhat like the doctor in you indeed, but also the time you spent with Koren teaching him your trade.
The second is your alchemy, and your work with the legion.
The third, your time with Curho, and more importantly your relationship with the children. You know what he has in store for little Lak'tuk, and I think that even you know there are lines not meant to be crossed. The question I wonder, is whether you will act upon them. Help this little girl, or help her broken father?

Me:
Hmmm... thinking of one for Star-Pelt....

Snowmane:
What's wrong with the easy path?
And Atik, the thing is, once you've killed yourself, you can't go back. I don't want to commit to that. I figure I'll see where life takes me before the end. Might be interesting.

Me:
Hmmm... sounds familiar...
Phillip:
*continued distant yelling at Atik*
Me:
Go for it Fund.

Me
: Right on. *ahem*
Star-Pelt, there are three doors in front of you.
The first is made of wood, and slightly overgrown with vines and plants. It seems translucent, faded.
The second is a sturdy wooden door, well-worn and handcrafted.
The third is a stainless steel door, circular and plan, with a large wheel for a handle. It is perfectly balanced upon its hinges.

Me:
Well, I'm sorry Tove, but I just don't know enough about you. I'm going to have to skip to Lobo.
Hendricks. There are three doors before you. Pick one. Or don't.
The first door is barren, the meager hanging orifice of a shack.
The second door is is a flame-scarred door. It looks standard, but not much can be told from it anymore.
The third is a well crafted wooden door. It is solid, and lovingly painted a pale violet.
Star-Pelt
: The second door.

Me
: Very well.
The first door was your time when you first met Blackbite and co. A wild thing with a talent for phasing, you were chaotic at best. Not evil, but not good.
The second represents your time with your friends, and the way you help and care for them.
The third is your business, where the thoughts of figures and sales dominated your mind.

Dennis Lobo Hendricks
:
Lobo: We should break down the doors.
Dennis: No.
Lobo: Aw c'mon!
Dennis: No. Now help me make a choice.
Lobo: Fine, the second. Now can we smash them?
Dennis: We choose the second one.

Koren Vile:
Such a nasty thing to say....
Me:
Remember that this Koren is in the regular time line, not aftermath's.
Koren Vile:
Perhaps one or neither, the first two doors are different sides of a coin that is constantly turning. Sometimes it spins slow enough for both faces to be seen clearly, other times it is fast enough that the sides blend and become one.
Curho is my personal friend despite his faults, he showed me the truth of this world, Chaos is the only true absolute in this twisted world we live in. While Lak'tuk is a special child with much potential that might be stunted if Curho tries to force it into the child. Heh, we shall see what happens in the end.

Star-Pelt:
Very well. Had you brought up unresolved guilt of some sort I would have found you in Makorr.
Me
: Ah. That's my take on you then.
Hendricks.
The first door is a reminder. Even while a worgen, you are still a man. You have an illusion of being unstoppable. One that will break rather poorly when it does.
The second door is your actions. What you've done out of petty vengeance has had consequences reaching generations.
The third, it is not for you. It is a dream that both families will likely never reach. Peace.

Me:
Can I bring up unresolved guilt? Like trying to kill Zeke even though it would have solved none of the fate written out for you?

Star-Pelt:
I don't feel guilty at all. It was satisfying.
Me
: *grumble*
