Fiction's Deadliest Warrior (Freddy Krueger vs. Slenderman)

Couldn't place the two combatants in this one without opening up a third one, so I just decided to go with fiction in general. That was probably more of an explanation needed for something that stupid, but humor me.
For this battle we have the infamous
Freddy Kruger
from
Nightmare on Elm Street
versus the internet-spawned horror phenomenon Slenderman (for whatever reason the Wikipedia page for him has vanished, sorry). Given the nature of these two this battle will consist of two rounds; one in the dream-world and one in the real world.
Freddy Krueger
”Tell ‘em Freddy sent ya!”
Appearance
: Red and green-striped sweater, brown fedora hat, loose brown pants and worn working boots. Of course, there is also his iconic bladed-glove. Some versions have a fifth claw on the thumb, but seeing as how that might interfere with gripping, making it less practical (like that actually matters though, am I right?), there will only be four – one on each finger.
Strengths
: Virtually immortal, he had appeared to be slain at the end of some movies, and even the one that went out and stated that he died (
Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare
) is disputable given his appearance in
Freddy vs. Jason
later. He can control people in the outside world when they’re asleep and, although he doesn’t seem that physically intimidating, he can apparently hold his own (ish) in a real-world fight (see
Freddy vs. Jason
). Also, while in a dream, it appears he can do virtually anything he wishes.
Weaknesses
: Unless his target fears him his powers are fairly weak, and actually seems to get a little unnerved by this.
Select Weapons
: The demonicly-enhanced claw-glove, supernatural abilities.
Slenderman
”Burn them.”
-
Alex Kralie, talking about tapes he had of the Slenderman.
Appearance
: Exact height can change (says what I’ve read, anyway) but he/it is always
extremely
tall. Has no face or hands, instead having tentacle-like appendages, and always wears a black business suit. A source I found claims he has a mouth with very sharp, pointy teeth, but I’m not too sure about that.
Strengths
: The Slenderman can stretch his/its body to impossible lengths and heights. Apparently he is immune, in some fashion or another, to conventional weapons, at the least guns. He seems to have no emotions or personality whatsoever, hell-bent on stalking his prey until they go mad with fear and, usually, kill themselves. Seems to distort time and space around him - whether intentional or not is unknown. There has also been symptoms of what has been dubbed “Slender Sickness” ailing those he stalks, although this seems to be a long-term thing only.
Weaknesses
:
Twenty Dollars
Apparently that dosn't work anymore, and the fact he seems to never actually been in a physical battle.
Select Weapons
: Supernatural abilities, tentacle-like arm apendages.
My edge has to go to Freddy. Slenderman may be some kind of horrific stalker entity, but there is no evidence to prove he could even hold his own in a battle against anyone. Then again, there’s also nothing that says he can’t. But my opinion is not yours, so leave a comment voting for your favorite. Be sure to read other people's comments to help you decide, too.
Who. Is.
Deadliest
?

Krueger, as he's a homicidal maniac.

Slenderman's laser-guided mind-f*ck seems like it would be extra effective on Freddy, who gains his powers from thoughts and fears.
And as I said, one of the bloggers actually gave Slendy $20 and it didn't work. lol

Thing is, he seems to only gain power based on fear, all other things just seem to be null. Of course I've never actually seen a propper
Nightmare on Elm Street
movie (let the flaming begin) or seen any blogs other than
Marble Hornets
(let the flaming continue) so, as usual, I'm unqualified to be making this ^.^
And while true, its still a funny joke :P

Freddy can only actually contact you if you know he is real, ala Steven King's
IT
.
If Slendy ever shows up, I'm giving him $50 just to get the f*ck away from me.

Gonna have to dispute that. I was looking through clips from the movies on Youtube and Freddy encountered a girl that plain out said "I don't belive in you!" to which Freddy simple replied "But I belive in you" and proceeded to kill her. So either you're mistaken, I'm mistaken, or there's a point at which Freddy gains enough strength that he can defy his own "rules".

You don't need to BELIEVE he exsists, you just need to know about him.
It gets explained fairly well in Freddy vs Jason.

One story was written where he kills two officers in the Air Force.
While they were in a jet.
In the sky.
Yeah.

Yeah.
What one was that? An actual fan-fic or one of the ARG blogs?
He also has a tendancy to mind-control you and kidnap your girlfriend. (See Marble Hornets.)

I think it came from the actual SA thread, but I could be wrong.

I'll be sure to look that up. How'd he kill them? Just have one go insane and kamakazi them both or actually tear the plane apart?

Their radio starting freaking out, and then they lost contact, iirc.

Slederman doesn't actually fight usually.
When he does, it is usually just wrapping you up with his arms and such.
In Tribe Twelve, he picked a man up by the leg and just killed him like that.

Slenderman. First of all, he's obviously not going to be afraid of Freddy, which will put him on edge, couple that with his ability to drive people insane, I don't think it would be that hard to push Freddy even further than he's already gone. And from what I understand about Slenderman, he's not going to get into some sort of melee, it's just impossible. He's almost supernatural. Unfortunately, I just don't think this 'fight' works in a 'deadliest warrior' kind of setting.

Slenderman. While it doesn't seem Slenderman kills many people directly, Freddy's greatest advantage is fear manipulation, and Slenderman doesn't feel fear.

While partially true, he can clearly feel threatened.
When Alex decided to go on the offensive Slenderman found himself backed into a corner, forcing him to be more sneaky as he took out the MH crew, like luring Seth around the corner.

I'm still unsure he can be harmed by humans at all.

I, personnally, think he can be harmed through very specific means.
Notice that fact that went a camera happens to see him, he becomes hell bent on destroying said camera? Perhaps by attacking him while filming him you can hurt Slenderman?
Granted, in tribe twelve, he was unloaded on by a platoon a nazis and didn't even pause...

Watch the video. They tried to kill Slenderman not once, but
twice
while the camera was rolling, and only succeeded in getting their reality all f*cked up.

Heh, guess it's a good thing Freddy is backed up by the power of a group of Demons eh?
