I think the people who complain just complain to make themselves stand out and to get attention. I bet they really like the new changes. I used to be the same way like 15 years ago when my friends got a Game Genie for Nintendo or something. I'd tell em it takes all the challenge away........Then next time I was at Walmart I would beg my mom to buy me one so I could cheat and beats games easily.
Anyways, I like the new patch. Haven't had a chance to explore it fully but I do love the item drops in Deadmines. I ran through there on my main and noticed a mjor improvement on the regular items that always drop. Gold-feckled gloves, for example, now give +6 int and bonus damage and healing, and the Buzzard blade is now blue and adds to crit rating. The 1st boss's hammer is now blue and adds alot to Str. Defia's belt is now blue, a few new green items are dropping and they are of Outlands quality. Alot of green items in deadmines now give better stats, like +3 or +4 agility and Stam instead of +1 or +2. Got several new greens that had to damage and healing, a dagger, a cape, boots, and gloves.
There also some new greens that add to Shadow spell damage like this robe I found from a regular mob. Now before any thinks, they aren't insanely overpowered like some outlands items, but they do have more of an outland quality. And I think this is good. It will make twinking alot easier and prices on the auction houses go down. Now those greedy people selling level 15-19 blues for 90g will actually have to earn their money. lol.

I can answer this, I like the new tracking. Its must easier for me to identify and snuff horde. :-)
Haven't had time to review the trainers.
I can definitely answer this, the primary reason for making it easier for casual gamers to level is revenue. Casual gamers don't stay on anywhere near 24/7/365 and their slower leveling could (and probably has) cause many of them to quit or go elsewhere such as other platforms. So, its relatively easy to offer them a path to aid in their continuing to pay the monthly fee. Makes perfect sense to me.

Two things I want to address.
#1. I love the patch. My mage that is in end game content loves his new toys, including the extra damage on frostbolt :)
#2. To all the people who are complaining that people will not have too easy a time to get to level 60. Blizzard is a gaming company that makes a great game. Their goal is to make MONEY, and at 9 million subscribers they are making a ton of it.
How are they gonna increase profits? By making sure as many of those 9 million players need "Wrath of the Lich King" once its released. As is there are still players who dont play The Burning Crusade because they dont have a lv 58 character. The easier leveling is targetting that audience. By getting more people to Outland levels it encourages them to buy The Burning Crusade if they hav'nt already. In turn, as they approach level 70 they will be more motivated to spend their dollars on Wrath of the Lich King once it's released.
They are'nt gonna buy the next expansion if they still hav'nt started the previous one. Personally, I think the marketting people at Blizzard are freaking geniuses.
Definitely gotta agree with you on this one, at least to an extent. Their will always be Battle Chests released with WoW + all the expansions to date, for as long as WoW runs. People who haven't gotten the game yet will be talked into one of those by a game store employee, or else simply buy the battle chest since it'll be the only way WoW is available (as Blizzard is rather infamous for (Starcraft, Warcraft III, Diablo II, etc.)). But for people who already own the original WoW and not the expansions, this will certainly be incentive for them to level.
I think that the addition / upgrading of pre-BC instance gear is a very welcome change. Not only does it give us seasoned players something new to see (I was quite amused when I saw
Rhahk'Zor's Hammer
, a previously white garbage item), but it will give lowbies something to be prideful of and brag to their friends about. This, in turn, will encourage more lowbies to run instances for gear / exp rather than solo grinding.
As high-level players we often forget what it was like to begin playing WoW. I still remember when I first started nearly a year ago, looking at the character creation screen going, "A Paladin, huh? Wonder if they're like the Paladins from Diablo II. Oh well, I'll be able to melee attack and heal myself! I'll never need a group!" *Create Character* What we must remember is there is an entire game below BC, below Kara and Gruul's and Black Temple, below Arenas and BG's, that people still play and enjoy. If Blizzard forgets about them then those people will lose interest in the game and no longer play (or pay Blizzard $15 / month for that matter).

My thoughts excactly. i'm only lvl 28, so the ptach is great for me. To be honest, I think Blizzard caters a little too much to the lvl 50+ crowd,Understandably, but I'ld like to see more instances for the level 25-35 area :)

I'm as bad as the worst, but thank god, i'm as good as the best.
-Walt Whitman
Actually, that's Ezra Pound. The quote goes, "I've got the vices of the worst, but I've got the redeeming qualities of the best."

Whitman did, indeed, influence Ezra Pound, but as a tribute to her taking on a different style for a variety of works, he quoted her. Of course, he might have changed it. Ol' Walt was a crazy man.

Well, I'm sorry to say but I doubt they'll be adding any completely new instances in... but at least they are paying attention to the lowbies with the gear upgrades. Getting blue gear at low levels will make leveling a lot easier, and this fact coupled with the reduced experience needed to level, I'm sure you'll be in Outlands in no time. And there's certainly no shortage of instances in Outlands. =P
I do doubt they'll add new ones, but I know I'll be on WoW on Saturday, hiopefully getting me friends to help me with some Istnaces. (I want those Naga Battle gloves!)
