Wowhead News - "Lite" version?

So here I am, once again, asking for some sort of "lite" version or stripped-down version of Wowhead News to be able to read on, because I am still not fond of the current design as it is, and liked it when it better matched the rest of Wowhead, since now it seems like an altogether different entity, despite the linking between the two sites.
However, having said that, I've noticed here recently where whenever I would go to load up the main page of Wowhead News, any of my other internet usage essentially comes to a complete stop, mainly due to the amount of javascript going on there, as well as the ridiculous amount of images being posted directly on the main page now. I'm using Firefox 11, and it seems we have some sort of no-cache headers going on as well, because I tend to have to redownload the layout imagery as well as any imagery of past posts that may have been able to have been cached in a web browser. Now I know I have cache enabled, because all other sites I browse doesn't have this issue. So with that noted, is there any plans for the immediate future (Not long-term) for something a bit more stripped-down in terms of
BOTH
image AND javascript usage? It would be awesome if there is, because my 70KB/s maximum download speed would be a heck of a lot happier, not to mention my 7-year old computer that's barely capable of playing WoW in this current expansion of Cataclysm.
Thanks in advance. :)

Wowhead News is being entirely redesigned right now and will be /news. I covered this in
our dev blog.

While it's great to hear there's a redesign in the works, but what about the actual request that I have? Some sort of trimmed-down version that doesn't have a million images and 500KBs of inline javascript to have to run on my computer? I would love some way to browse Wowhead without it lagging up my PC with javascript usage as well...
That said, I don't mind javascript usage for effects and other flashy things like AJAX or whatnot, but requiring it for basic content that could be parsed by PHP and cached server-side would be a lot easier on end-users' computers, ... not to mention the site would be usable by a much wider audience.
Edit: Dang grammar.

The entire point of the redesign is to make it simple and identical to Wowhead. If you can run Wowhead, it will be the same as that--so I think your request was addressed in that dev blog :)(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Ashelia##DELIM##
