Okay i kinda diddent understand the: READ BEFORE POSTING so please help me :)
Okay my problem is that i´ve been healer since i started and just recently started useing PvE macros but somehow it seems like a very good idea to do that so...
Is it possible to make a macro for a Resto Shaman that is throwing out a Riptide Followed by a flame shock ?
I´ve just respecced to try out the Focused Insight talent which gives me a spell cost reduse on my next heal by 75 % and a 30 % effectiveness aswell and to make that fit in it would be awesome to be able to use my Riptide on the one with the lowest hp and then flame shock an enemy they both have a 6 sec cooldown
Macro Geeks Sort this out if ya are able to :)

Hello fellow Nerd! The world is ours.
You'll need a cast sequence macro for this to work, and I would suggest a mouseover one at that. Using the ? icon for your macro, try:
#showtooltip
/castsequence Riptide, Flame Shock
IF that works (big IF -- not sure about conditionals in cast sequence macros), you'll move your mouse over a player's frame whom you want to cast Riptide on, press your hotkey once, and then press your hotkey again to cast Flame Shock on your current (hostile) target. If I'm not mistaken, if you don't have a hostile target then the macro will roll right back into casting Riptide on your mouseover.
This is untested for now, but once my homework is done (which I should be doing right now, DAMN YOU WOWHEAD!), I'll log onto my shaman and test it for you if you haven't done it by then.
Edit: Yep, sorry, not working. You could try something like this:
#showtooltip
/cast Riptide
/cast Flame Shock
/cast Riptide
...which will default to casting Riptide on a friendly, living mouseover. If you don't have one of those, it will attempt to cast Flame Shock on your hostile target. If you don't have a hostile target, the macro will cast Riptide on your target or cast it on you (its default behavior).

Is there any benefit in having the casts on seperate lines instead of concatenating them?
#showtooltip
/cast Riptide; Flame Shock;Riptide

Concatenating is useful for saving characters, but in this case it's not really necessary. You could write the macro either of the two ways and it would work the same.
