Hello all. I don't really play I DK, even if I have one, because I only fumble around with my abilities. However, I have a question. How much does a Frost Death Knight gain from agility?
I am asking since I just met a Frost DK in HoO, as a habit I inspect most of the group. When I inspected him in the beginning of the dungeon he already had
Left Eye of Rajh
equipped, along with some other trinket I didn't check further.
However, once Rajh was killed he dropped his eye again. Being a hunter I needed, because the proc is fairly good. So did he. And he won it. I inspected him after the roll was done, and now he had two eyes equipped.
Is agility really that beneficial for Deathknights? Really?

Hello all. I don't really play I Hunter, even if I have one, because I only fumble around with my abilities. However, I have a question. How much does a Hunter gain from expertise?

No, expertise isn't beneficial for Hunters at all, but is it beneficial enough for a Frost DK to have Two Eyes? I'm sorry, I don't know, I'm just asking a polite question... No need for sarcasm.

Th eyes of Rajh are unique-equipped, so I see two possibilities leading to the same answer:
1. He now has one normal and one heroic.
2. You misread and he had/won a
Right Eye of Rajh
, which is actually quite good for frost DK (compared to trinkets of the same ilvl, obviously)
Either way, the proc from
Left Eye of Rajh
isn't really good for frost, as all it does is increase crit chance a bit.
However, it can be an upgrade, depending on how bad his old trinket was.

Possible, I only made a quick hover over it while checking if he had any PvP stuff and so on.
I see, well, I was simply wondering since he made a 'lol' at of me afterwards when I asked him if it was that good.
Ty for the answer.

Agility doesn't benefit Frost at all. So what you're dealing with is someone "Needing" for an item that isn't designed for their class/spec but may be an upgrade over something much worse.
Left Eye has Expertise, so it can be useful to any melee dps class, but the Agility proc means it's really meant for feral kitty and enh shaman. Not ideal for hunter either.
If it came down to a guild leader / raid leader settling it between a hunter and frost DK straight up, I'd lean toward hunter because the expertise could be reforged toward crit or haste which you need, whereas the Agi proc can't be reforged to something useful for the DK. So on a pure "value per ilevel" stance a hunter gets more use out of it.
Personally I don't "need" on non-spec items. I would only do so if everyone else passed or did "greed". But many people don't see it that way - if it's even a 1 point upgrade they "need" it , which makes sense from a certain point of view.
As an Enhancement Shaman I've lost Trickster's Edge to frost DK need rolls twice before, so I am a bit touchy about that.

Death Knight + Agility = HORRIBLE DPS

Well, it was dungeon finder. Only the DK needed, so I'm assuming the kitty in the group already had it or didn't want it. I myself wanted it because my other trinket had +234 hit, but I've already overcapped hit a lot; Currently at 11%; so I thought an agi proc and reforging into mastery would be a lot better. Oh well, LFD will always have people in it.
