the WoW subscription fee is the same if you log on every day for 23 hours or not at all. diablo 3 will just make wow servers a little less crowded. I think blizzard will be focusing on MoP beta and not incentives to keep players logged on.

well from what i heard, the AH in diablo 3 with its whole realm money thing, will actually be able to put money into your blizzard account, so you can actually pay your wow sub with that? so if you count that as a benefit, then ya there will be that one at least

That's a common misconception, actually. You currently cannot pay for your WoW subscription through the Blizzard currency. Nor can you make any purchases through the pet/mounts store. You can, however, pay for various gimmicks such as faction changing, race changing, etc. through the new currency.

They had stated that they plan to allow you to use the currency for pets/mounts and such, and perhaps sometime down the road your WoW subscription. It's just not the case

WoW and diablo are completely different...each pulls different types of players.

Exactly. While a lot of people will play both just like they already do with games that AREN'T Blizzard related, there are a lot of people like me who don't give a crap about Diablo. I have Zero interest in it as do a LOT of the WoW playerbase.
