Hey there... ppl. So I, like many of you, was deciding my enhansment shamans talents for MOP (even tho i know its gonna change a thousand times its fun =)) so heres my qeustion:
As of right now, what would be more beneficial?
Echo of the Elements as a passive luck based boost to the spells ill be casting occasionally, that is inferring it includes most of the instant casts i use.
Or, Elemental Mastery. as a kinda 2nd Heroism/Bloodlust to give that burn phase a bit more heat.
I didn't include Ancestral Swiftness as it felt redundant to me with Maelstrom Weapon and I figure 5% haste boost at all times isn't as good as a passive compared to Echo of the Elements.
As of now I'm kinda favoring Echo of the Elements, just because i enjoy having passives (I'm not going to be burn phasing every mob pull, no matter how short the CD) but that's just me. If it does come down to, "I'm loosing too much DPS for personal Flavor" or "this talent wasn't made for Enhans in the first place" I understand. I would just like to know your opinions
So Hit me. =)

Sounds good, thanks for the legit feedback. =)
I did a little research myself on EE and it seems to be a passive damage proc, effects ALL damaging/healing spells. You've got a chance to make your spells do supposedly double damage. The proc rate seems to differ per spell, but doesn't appear to be too slowly. All and All i think its a pretty decent and consistent damage boost.
Note: I made most of my observations off of an elitist jerks post so if you wanna correct me on anything feel free haha

For Enhance, echo of elements is the obvious choice since you get double spells and its a 30% chance. It works well with both the unleash fury talent (For more LB damage) or elem blast talent for double EB burst.
There might be the occasional fight where you need timed burst so then prob pick elem MAstery mini bloodlust, but haste in general is crap for enhance since it's just more passive damage. Atleast echo gives some more active spells.....and heals in PVP.

I can't confirm anything aside from my hour or so of testing (which amounts to nothing, but I'm just throwing in my findings), but EE
appears
to work on a normalized scale like rage currently does - Only with spells. Which means a spell with a short cast time will have a lower chance to proc, while a spell with a longer cast time will have a higher chance to proc - In other words, their procs per minute is the same.
It only
feels
this way, mind you. When casting Healing Wave, it seems to proc more than when I cast Healing Surge.
For a DPS, I am almost 99 % certain that AS is inferior to EotE and EM. A flat bonus is rarely as good as a cooldown is, as it allows lining up for a stronger burst, which in almost all boss encounters will result in a higher DPS - Not to mention the utility in being able to more efficiently burst down mobs that needs to die
fast
. AS doesn't really do all that much - We Shaman doesn't have any Soul Fire spell that would benefit all that much from it.
AS feels more like a "healers choice", because an instant-cast heal is always useful in sticky situations. EotE just felt nicer as a healer, because I severely dislike relying on CDs as a healer (The joys I felt when I saw the new totems..)
And just for the record, it currently lasts 20 seconds with a 2 minute cooldown, or 20/120 = 6 % bonus. Useless number crunching, I know, but just felt it was worth pointing out :P
