Achievement for having lvl 85 in both sexes

I think most of us know where the account wide achievements are going
Achievement for having a lvl 85 of every race
Achievement for having a lvl 85 of every class
Achievement for having every crafting skill at maxed
Achievement for having a lvl 85 of both factions.
But there are some people who have a real aversion to men who play female characters. What do you think the backlash would be if the devs also added an achievement for having an 85 of both sexes?

I dont understand how there could be any backlash to such an achievement, but then I am pretty easy going and laid back. Though I am sure someone somewhere would be outraged as they always are. The whole issue would be moot though as achievements are not mandatory.

I don't care if someone else wants to do it, but it's not for me. My first MMORPG experience was Everquest, and one of my first toons was a human female, but I soon got tired of all the saddos who would message me out of the blue and try to chat me up. Got to about level 15 before I deleted the toon and re-rolled as male.
To this end, I wouldn't be that happy if they put it into an achievement. I wouldn't quit playing over it or anything, but I do think it would be a bit lame.

I personally wouldn't take any offense from it (then again, I'm not living in the US) but if I were a developer, I'd not put it in as well.
For one, WoW has usually the stance "gender is just a different appearance" (albeit often greatly dismorphic) but there is no gameplay difference between playing a male or a female character (other games have classes/races that can only be one gender)
Second, in terms of "importance", I'd put the gender of a character far behind such choices as class and race (due to the racials, otherwise it's just appearance, too) and honestly, why should it matter? Of course WoW is a fantasy world (albeit apparently an "enlightened" one) but especially achievements lean more towards the player, not the character - and in the real world, gender shouldn't matter, not in that aspect of life/the game.

I know that gender matters a lot to some players. A friend of mine keep paying to get a sex change/race change because he doesn't know what he want's. He always find out that the one he currently has is stupid looking.

Lets not forget about the one achievement that must be done on female characters.
Shake Your Bunny-Maker
This may be the only achievement that requires a certain sex to finish. And it also seems to be one of the more annoying ones to get, unless you have a buddy on Real ID to help out.
I know while I was leveling my undead warlock, which happens to be my one and only female character, I would go AFK for a few mins. I'll come back after getting a drink or going to the bathroom and there are a set of ears on my head.
But I would agree though, there will be this one person that will make a big deal about this achievement need a level capped character of each sex. As for myself, I don't really see a problem with it. I would mind have one of each sex so I can listen to all the different emotes they do. Especially the female undead /flirt, I find several of those to be very unique.

If someone was an achievement freak and also didn't enjoy playing toons of the opposite sex, yeah I can see people being miffed.
If someone was an achievement freak and also didn't enjoy falling more than 65 yards, yeah I can see people being miffed.
Going Down?
Blizzard is going to add achievements. If you're not willing to complete the criteria, then you don't deserve the achievement. Should they remove raiding achievements because people refuse to raid?

The few jerks who think it's acceptable to try and initiate a sexually charged conversation with me got quite a surprise, I won't go into detail, but let's just say they'll probably want a little more proof of gender next time they try that crap on someone with a female toon.Do you really think that it's acceptable to initiate a sexually charged conversation with a female toon if they're female irl? It's not lacking proof of gender that makes it wrong.

Being an achievement freak I would love this.. It would get me out of my DK too
But there are some people who have a real aversion to men who play female characters.
That's their problem.. If thy think it's fine for females to play males then they have to think its fine for he over way around... To me it's sexist not letting males play females but females play males
They can cry all they want but blizz won't remove an achievement just cuz a minority of people have issues with others bein something else in..GASP..a
FANTASY
game where your SUPPOSED to be different

First off, let me say that I have about half my characters as females. As an alt-aholic, it just makes it a little less repetitive and helps keep them straight. I wanted to start a discussion, not pass any judgments. The people who are against cross-gender playing mostly talk about men playing females, and that is where the real debate is.
I think even if it was a worthless achievement (not part of anything that gives a mount, title or pet) there would still be a LOT of people who complain about it.
