give it time, the Profiler is still in the process of booting up again after a long downtime.

Guilds are removed from the profiler. They were what has been bringing it down for over a year--so basically almost all the downtime has resulted in the profiler having too much data and a lot of queries. Almost all of them were from guilds. Anytime someone had a character and they looked it up, our profiler would also look up their guild, and then pull every single character for it. You can see how that would get out of hand, I'm sure. We are in the process of removing any hyperlinks. Sorry and thanks for your patience. :)

Does that mean no guilds at all?

Yes. They eat resources a ridiculous amount and got very few pageviews--it was just one person clicking their guild name, then caching 100+ people for us each time. We had no idea it was causing so many of the issues, but it makes a lot more sense knowing this now.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Ashelia##DELIM##

Would you be able to just list all the already-synced data from within the same guild name? So if I were to click on my guild name it would go to a list of the characters in my guild that also use Wowhead's Profiler. I guess this would likely mostly be a way for people to check their raid-mates' profiles quickly by going via the guild list. Just a thought since I'm sure that basic functionality was a lot of what people would have used before.

No, we honestly can't spend more development time on the profiler given the resources it uses and what it brings to Wowhead in return. The fixes we did over this week were already
way
too much to justify but they were done because we could not provide people with an alternate resource that let them track pets, quests, and so on as seamlessly as the profiler apparently does. I didn't want to leave people hanging so I had Spiffy spend valuable time off of two big projects to tweak the profiler.
Anyway, I can't devote a developer to recoding the profiler to display things differently and generate names but not profiles (which I suspect would still cause a server load). It would likely take tens of hours, plus testing, and I think it'd cause further issues because the profiler is so finicky. And also if I were to do that, many other features would basically never launch.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Ashelia##DELIM##

While I will miss this feature, I would
much
rather have the profiler back and healthy.
Cheers!
