Annual Pass bug or what?

So I've had my wow subscription set to "x months recurring" from my debit card ever since I started playing. Never had an issue.
I signed up for the annual pass. Everything's still good, still x months recurring, whatever.
So today I get off work and try to log in...
"unable to login, this account has no more prepaid time."
I tried calling blizzard, but they've changed their phone lines where you just get a busy signal, you can't even wait on hold for 2 hours anymore. So I ticketed, and got some generic "we are unable to help you, please go to ______" response, which basically led me back to the "create ticket" page.
This whole thing is ridiculous and I can't get any answers anywhere. I've stuck my debit card back onto my account so I can actually play this game I'm PAYING for, but I just want to know how this possibly could have even happened. My account was never overdrawn or close to being overdrawn, and I haven't been banned...
Anyone else had this happen? I really don't understand and I can't get any answers.

The recurring payment stopped working for me when I got the Annual Pass so I have to enter my credit card info manually every month when my account gets frozen. I've made 2 tickets about it and all I got was "make sure you have money and your card has online payment options blaahblaa" even after I've told them I've checked every detail in the very first ticket *sigh*. They finally promised to fix it, but then when I entered the info it gave me an error & still money was taken from my account. It took 20 days for it to return + my husband's credit card to pay for my monthly fee.
I'd advice you to write down the time & date of when your gametime expires each month and then go manually add the payment info if the recurring payment isn't working. I know it is annoying, but it seems the problem won't get fixed anytime soon :(

I do not see a reason that the payment would have been removed after looking over it. From what I see at this current point though you were able to get the payment added back to the account and should have no more issues. =)
Sounds really familiar, that is pretty much the answer I got on my last ticket. Still I have to add the info each month since the GMs (5 of them) fail to understand that I didn't have an issue adding payment - I had and still have a problem with the recurring payment not working :D Best reply really was "I see you have successfully added Annual Pass so your problem seems to have been resolved." Ahem, I had no trouble adding the Annual Pass in the first place so can I get a GM who can actually read and understand what he is reading? After 2 weeks of trying to get someone to understand the problem I gave up.

Yeah, I'm really not liking the severe lack in customer service right now. I was so frustrated about this. I mean, you used to be able to call and wait on the line, and you would eventually (even if it took hours) get a real person, who you could explain the issue to, and they would help you out. You used to be able to ticket this kind of thing, and would get an actual response rather than some canned, this-kind-of-matches-your-problem answer.
I mean, I called and went through the whole "press 1 for English" thing, only to find that I get a busy signal and can't get through. I reported someone I thought had been hacked the other day, and all I got was "please use the correct feature from the report menu".
They really shouldn't have fired all those employees. It seriously shows
.
To be honest, I'm beginning to want to agree with that particular sentiment.

The same happened to my account about 2 months ago although I didn't sign up for an Annual Pass. I haven't done anything about it since I was planing to stop anyway but still weird.
