Reputation Miscalculation

Hey there,
When I went to sleep last night, I had
13,140
in site reputation. Since then, my reputation chart shows
this
.
Manually calculating the reputation I should be up to, I came up with
13,195
, but my reputation counter says
13,180
. It looks like some of the events noted on the reputation chart didn't count for some reason, making my counter short
15 rep
.
I know this may seem like a minor thing, and admittedly it is, but I'm trying to work my way up the top users board so every little bit counts.
It's also possible that other users are experiencing the same thing, though I can't be sure because I can't see their charts.
Thanks!

Everything I see on yours is something I'm certain has been crediting me appropriately. The only guess I could make for your situation is that you possibly were incorrect about the total you had when you went to sleep. Again, I'm just guessing that is a possibility.

This is the first time I've seen something like this on my account, so I don't think it's been a longstanding issue.
As far as your thought that I may have been incorrect about my pre-sleep total, that's not a possibility in this case. I keep my profile page up all the time, only refreshing it after significant activity. Since I open pages from it, using the page as a springboard in a sense, the page doesn't update until I "ask" it to update.
I noticed a rep gain of more than 5 when I opened up my first page this morning. When I checked on the reputation page, I saw the chart I linked in the first post, but something seemed off. I thought some things may have only just registered and the reputation hadn't been doled out yet, so I continued checking on things as usual, but after some time I saw that the reputation was unchanged. Since I still had my original profile page up, I knew my starting point for reputation and calculated everything listed past midnight.

Could it be that the rep page and total reputation are out of sync? Admittedly, this theory pretty much falls apart when I consider that your post was 6 hours ago, and it still says you're at 13180, but I'd still bet on a display problem.

I was also earning reputation (and receiving it) from other events - I shot the photo when it seemed like activity had settled down and I wasn't going to be on the site for a little bit. But while I was checking on things before I left, I did receive reputation for events listed in the chart, leading me to believe it was a report & either a comment upvote while I was asleep or the daily visit that didn't register.
Edit: I also just noticed that, although something I reported resulted in moderator action, I received neither credit in the reputation chart nor a reputation boost.

Sometimes we don't close the reports until we are completely done with an action. We keep notes on what we do, and until we fill out everything that needs to be done behind the scenes, we won't close the reports. I just closed the last few forum reports, and I know your name was on one of them.
As for your rep not footing are you talking about JUST from when you last check it?

I count the rep gains in that picture and I get +65. Did you screen shot too much? Where are you counting from? I'm sorry I'm a little confused on your original post.
This is the first time I've seen something like this on my account, so I don't think it's been a longstanding issue. Reputation is not the most accurate number. If you are looking through the tables and you try and do the math with some peoples accounts, you will find that there reputation is much higher that what you think it should be. This is because when reputation was first implemented some caps on visits, and votes were not accounted for when the historical reputation of users was calculated.
Right now, to my knowledge all areas of the reputation are working correctly.

Oh ok, that's good to know. I thought that tickets were closed when a moderator chose to act or not on the reported item, and didn't realize there might be follow up. Thanks for clarifying this point - I appreciate it. Also, welcome back from your vacation, I hope it was restful!

I grabbed one extra line to show the starting point - I counted everything that happened "today" and excluded the line from "yesterday," as I was on when that happened and saw the reputation update on both the counter and the reputation chart. The "yesterday" line is worth +10, so that'd drop your count to +55, matching what I calculated as well.

I don't think I can see the tables for other users, to my knowledge, and I know that comment replies in particular gave rep originally when upvoted though they no longer do, so I try not to go
alllll
the way back in the chart.
What I noticed is the mismatch in today's numbers, & like I said, I don't think I've noticed it before on my account. It's possible that one of the reports is still open, as you suggested above, so that would account for 10 site rep points, but the other 5 is odd. Like I said, I'm not sure if it's 3 comment upvotes, 2 upvotes + daily visit, 1 upvote + 1 report, or 1 daily visit + 1 report, and if it's a report and/or comment upvote(s) that didn't register, unfortunately I'm not entirely sure which one(s) glitched.

Very restful, it was just what I needed.

I just tested visits, upvotes, and reports on a test account. Everything looks to be ok. (I did some strange combinations too just incase) About a month ago Asakawa and I both found some issues with the rep system. We tested them to death, and now they are solid. It's been quite for about a month. If your still worried about it all, keep and eye on it, but i'm pretty sure everything is ok.

^_^ Sorry, I meant the

table.

I'm glad it seems to be an isolated event, and not something foretelling of another feature like the profiler, pulling down the whole site! Do you know if there's a possibility to receive the missing reputation, or am I s*** out of luck?

How much are you missing by your estimation?

Me puedes reportar por no usar Inglés. Eso te dará 10 rep. =P

Numbers are the same in spanish...& it seems like what you said in one sentence is at odds with the other sentence, though my spanish is rusty.

Nvm, I understand what you said now. But non-English posts and threads are permissible in the Wowhead Feedback forum, so it wouldn't work. :( (though I do appreciate the offer, even if it was made jokingly)
It's been 2 days now, & although I've received reputation for other events properly, I'm still short the 15 rep my chart shows I earned Sunday but didn't carry over in my actual reputation counter. Is it still feasible to be awarded the missing rep?
Thanks

Hahahahaha. Wow, I didn't even think about that. ^_^ Fail.
Hmmm, I wonder if there is something you could report for extra rep around here somewhere..

I need no boat to swim in the rep :P Nah, those were picked and left visible for SquireKel to report, I felt no need to touch them :)
